| 摘 要： | 以南京地区386名城乡居民为研究对象，采用社会学分层随机抽样的方法，对居民年度参与体育竞赛类活动进行调研，结果显示：1）城市男性居民年度参加体育竞赛或表演4次以上者的比例远低于乡镇，差异非常显著，原因为城市社会变迁，导致城市男性参与体育竞赛类活动的有利因素逐次丧失；2）乡镇经济发展导致居民对体育文化生活需求增加，作为乡镇社会活动参与主体男性居民参与体育竞赛机会增加；3）城乡女性居民在体育竞赛参与活动中差异不大；4）总体上看，乡镇居民的体育竞赛参与率明显高于城市，差异非常显著（P〈0．01），原因即在于乡镇男性居民在运动竞赛方面保持了高参与率。

| Abstract: | Using literature and sociology methods,the author does a research on the inhabitant's sports contest participation city and town in Nanjing area.The result shows that male resident in city have a lower participation in sports contest than that of men in town and in the country.overall,resident in town and country have a higher participation than the dweller in city. |
