Abstract:In order to solve quayside container crane selection problem in container terminals, a simulation system of quayside container crane is built with system simulation technology. The simulation system includes system input, system control, system evaluation and statistical output. The part of system input is used to determine quayside container crane selection proposal and other correlative factors. The part of system control determines the parameters of trolley and hoister of quayside container crane, including operating position, velocity, acceleration, operating state, etc. The part of system evaluation is used to give a comprehensive evaluation of different quayside container crane selection proposals under various working conditions to pick out the most suitable proposal. The part of statistical output is used to collect and analyze the indexes, parameters and evaluation results, then produce an diagrammatic output. The proposal which is most suitable to container terminal operation is determined by simulating and evaluating different quayside container crane selection proposals from the angle of power consumption and operating efficiency.
