英语教学的新发展

摘    要:新时期的英语教学在教学理论研究、教学辅助工具和教学培养目标上有了新的发展。教学理论研究实现了五个转变从客体逐渐过渡到主体;从单学科理论支持发展到多学科理论支持、从侧重教语言的形式到侧重教语言的意义和功能;在高年级从语言技能教学转向内容教学、从劳动密集型教学转向高科技密集型教学。教学辅助工具拓展到多媒体教学,并以计算机辅助教学为代表。计算机教学既有长处,又有短处,并不能完全替代教师。英语专业教学培养目标首次被定位在培养复合型人才上。练好扎实的基本功是培养复合型人才的关键。

Abstract:English education has undergone new changes in respect of theoretical study, teaching aids and education objectives. Five shifts of focuses have occurred in the theoretical study: from objectivity to subjectivity, from single disciplinary informed education to multi disciplinary informed one, from pattern drills to meanings and functions, from basic skills to content-oriented advanced courses, and from labor intensive teaching to high tech intensive teaching. The teaching aids have expanded to include multi media,and computer assisted teaching plays a leading role. Computer assisted teaching, with its merits and demerits, can not replace the teacher entirely. The education objective is to foster students with a compound range of knowledge and ability, with a solid foundation of basic English skills as the key factor.
