| Abstract: | it was demonstrated that physical education in universities promoted the development of sports science in the previous period and on the early days of this century. At the same time the 3 functions which thepromotion of sports science by contemporary physical education in universities brought about and the 4 reforms drawn by the influence of sports science on the development of physical education in universities wereexpounded briefly. |
