| Abstract: | The new rule was adopted in the Chinese National Wushu Sanda Championship in 1999. It is that in opposition the athletes of both sides needn't wear head protectors, chest guards and leg protectors. By investigating the athletes' injuries in the championship the feasibility of the new rule and its effects on the deve lopment of sanda was analyzed so as to provide reference for decision makers and basis for coaches. |
