| 摘 要： | 从认知主义视角对中西方文学作品中的“水”意象进行分析，探索不同文化背景下的认知主体对于“水”意象构建方式的共性。中西方在构建概念时往往以水的物理特性为认知的基点，通过象征、比喻、类比、同构性等对应关系激活系列百科全书知识，最终构建出一个多层次、射线型的“水”意象矩阵。利用概念整合理论，文章还解释了中西方文学作品中普遍存在的“水”意象的罪罚象征意义的产生机制。

| Abstract: | This paper makes an analysis of the water images in Western and Chinese literary writings from a cognitive perspective. It attempts to explore the universals of constructing this image of water in different cultural background. It＇ s found that people of different cultures are prone to take the physical features of water as the foundation of recognition and construct a multi-level and radiant matrix of water through various correspondences such as symbolism, metaphor, analogy and isomorphism. The paper also explains the symbolic meaning of water and points out that this meaning extension results from the operation of conceptual blending. These findings offer a reliable basis for the study of cross-cultural communication. |
