| 摘 要： | 胡适的文化思想中表现出了回归中国传统文化并认同其主体地位和合理价值的现象,这种文化“保守倾向”主要表现在：胡适对中国传统文化的充分肯定、对中国本位文化的认同及其对整理国故的情有独钟。“保守倾向”的形成与胡适早年所受的传统教育有关,与胡适的文化使命感和新文化运动期间及其后的文化争论也有着密切联系。胡适的文化观可以概括为：形式上“激进”而内容上具有“保守倾向”。

| Abstract: | Hu Shih is one of the most influential scholars in the Recent History of China. In his cultural thoughts, radicalism is known more than others. The conservative trend lies in his radical cultural thoughts, which is connected with Hu Shih＇s education background, cultural responsibility and so on. However, the conservative trend lies behind the sufficient cultural radicalism because some radical cultural thoughts such as ＂Wholesale westernization＂ are distorted in the culture discussion. In addition, politics also affect this phenomenon. In my opinion, Hu Shih＇ s cultural thoughts should be concluded as： cultural conservative trend in the form of cultural radicalism. |
