| Abstract: | Over ten years of research in both the United States and Germany has shown that investments in innovation and cooperative networks can lead to improved growth and success for entrepreneurial firms in high technology industries. The industries included telecommunications, computer equipment, and biotechnology. This research suggest that government policy can play an important role in encouraging competition through deregulation, but also supporting cooperation in the development of regional networks . |
