| 摘 要： | 党的十六届五中全会提出了建设社会主义新农村的重大历史任务，当前各地也在因地制宜就如何搞好社会主义新农村建设进行大胆尝试。在此背景下发掘农村合作经济组织这一建设载体的潜力，重新认识其性质特征，分析其在新农村建设中的重要作用，为社会主义新农村建设提供有益借鉴。
