| 摘 要： | 德莱塞在其现实主义杰作《美国的悲剧》中，通过克莱特这一典型的艺术形象，揭示了美国资本主义社会的实质，批判了美国资本主义社会道德风尚和腐朽生活方式对青年的严重腐蚀。克莱特是拜金主义下的悲剧人物，作品向我们描写的既是克莱特的个人悲剧，更是美国的悲剧。
