| 摘 要： | 英汉两种语言的句核,在性质上有本质的区别,适用不同的术语.两种句核在组合生成能力与组合形式上差别很大,英语有两种常见的基本句形式,而汉语有七种常见的基本句形式.在基本句的扩展上,英语偏好通过增加附属成分,用大单位替代小单位,来表达复杂思想,而汉语偏好通过增加并列性成分,并列性分句,来表达复杂思想.

| Abstract: | English and Chinese differ in the nature of sentential core,and thus need different terminology.The two languages also differ in the combinational potential and combinational forms of their sentential core.And to express complicated ideas,English tends to extend its basic sentences by adding subordinate elements and by replacing smaller units with bigger ones.By contrast,Chinese tends to resort to adding more parallel clausal elements or parallel clauses. |
