| Abstract: | The Ray is one of Ron Milner's best-known short stories. Through describing the death of a nuclear scientist, Ron Milner aims to arouse people's deep concern about protection of the world from nuclear weapons. This paper, based on the author's careful reading of the text, expounds the theme as well as Milner's writing style by analyzing the four scenes as well as the suspense of the short story. |
