Abstract:In the background of contemporary Chinese teaching refom in high schools, problem-centered teaching mode closely linked to curriculum and teaching goals with problems as classroom teaching center. This mode takes Vygotsky' s socio - cultural theory and the status of "problems" in t teaching as its theoretical basis. "Problems" has four characteristics, that is it can command the subject knowledge and run through the entire study; can promote the ability to form and cultivate learning; can respond to characteristics of the students ' physical and mental development and stimulate learning interests; can cultivate strong will and form a query spirit. Problem-centered teaching mode should follow some principles, including objectives targeted, problems centered, sense of priority, rich problems and situations created. This mode is composed of six elements (links), which is "stimulate, guide, analyze, integrate, use and comment". Problem-centered teaching mode requires the approval and active participation of teachers.
