| Abstract: | English sports news is a writing style that demonstrates both the common features of news writing at large and its own distinctive characteristics, such as humorous language style, terminologies, etc. Through digging into the possible causes leading to mistranslation to discuss some workable strategies and methods in translating English sports news, this paper aims at offering some help to the better appreciation of English sports news, and inviting more valuable opinions in its translation efforts. |
