| Abstract: | Tao's common civilian education idea posed a wide influence on China in the first half of 20th century. His ideas such as "society is school", "education should be connected with real life", "make use of everything possible of the community to serve education" and "village schools should be the centers of improving rural life" still have referential values for developing community education in villages and towns today. |
