| Abstract: | Zhang Zhidong was honored as the first man who was proficient at the school system in the late Qing Dynasty.He experienced the European and American culture in the Middle Ages and wanted to utilize the thought of ＂Chinese Things Serving the West ＂ to save the Declining Qing Dynasty.In his life Zhang Zhidong was well-known to be actively engaged in starting modern businesses and also for his accomplishment in cultural and educational cause.Especially in the pre-school education,he involved himself in working out the first preschool education regulation in China and promoted the modern development course of the preschool education. |
