| Abstract: | By going through the novel The Broken Cloud written by Chi Li, this paper reveals the darkness and truthfulness covered by the tone of looseness, mildness and tranquility. The author thinks that the novel negates the male-dominating legend, describes the imperfect female figures and discards traditional folk-narrative techniques. |
