大学英语语法教学再思考

摘    要:传统的英语教学非常重视语法教学,以致于学生学的都是哑巴英语、聋子英语。后来人们认识到其弊端,语法教学在外语教学中的地位大大削弱以致在大学外语课堂中很少涉及甚至消失了。然而,物极必反,语法教学地位的削弱使得学生读不懂复杂的句子,常犯一些非常低级的错误。我们有必要再次思考语法教学在大学英语中实施的必要性及其相应的措施。

Abstract:The traditional English teaching attached so much importance to grammar teaching that learners became mute and deaf in practical English communication.Later,its harm was recognized and grammar was decreased dramatically even disappeared in college English teaching.However,it develops in the opposite direction when it reaches extreme.The decrease in grammar teaching left students unable to understand complicated sentences and made very funny mistakes.This paper reveals problems in college English teaching and advises some corresponding countermeasures based on the necessity of grammar teaching.
