| 摘 要： | 从认知语言学中的图形与背景理论的角度出发,重新分析了英语倒装句的焦点功能,认为英语倒装句符合图形—背景理论中的凸显原则。在语言的实际运用中,说话人将正常语序结构“图形—背景”转化为“背景—图形”,形成句末焦点,达到了最佳凸显效果,引起听者对图形的注意。

| Abstract: | The salient function of inverted sentences have been analyzed again from the perspective of the figure/ground theory in cognitive linguistics.It is thought the inverted sentences are in accordance with the salient principles in the figure/ground theory.In the practical use of language,speakers usually convert "figure-background" in the natural sentences into "background-figure" to form an end-focus and reach the best salient result,thus draw listeners' attention. |
