摘    要:“开民智”、“作新民”是我国近代发展社会教育的主题。自民国教育部设社会教育司以来,社会教育的理论与事业就受到教育家群体的关注,陶行知、俞庆棠、傅葆琛、雷沛鸿、陈礼江等对社会教育都有过深刻的论述,形成了创造的社会教育、扩大的社会教育、丰富的社会教育、制度化的社会教育、消极与积极的社会教育等各具特色的社会教育理论。这些社会教育思想内容丰富,具有强烈的社会对策性和教育对策性,总结他们的社会教育思想对我们今天“民智”的开启、“新民”的养成以及建设学习型社会有积极借鉴意义。

Abstract:"Enlightening the mass" and "being a new citizen" were the theme of the development of China's modern social education.Ever since the establishment of the department of social education by the Ministry of Education of the Nationalist Government,the theory of social education had received intensive attention from the educationist group.Tao Xingzhi,Yu Qintang,Fu Baochen,Lei Peihong,Chen Lijiang,etc.gave profound elaboration on it.Thus the theories of social education,such as creative social education,expanded social education,enriched social education,systemized social education,positive and negative social education,etc.were formed,each having its own special characteristics.These theories were abundant in content and very much society-oriented and education-oriented.A summary of these theories is of great significance in regard to the current "enlightenment of the mass" and cultivation of the "new citizens" as well as the construction of a learning-oriented society.
