| 摘 要： | 随着高校外语教学的发展，各种新的教学方法不断涌现，传统的语法翻译教学方法受到了不公正的待遇。作者认为，从中国学生学习英语的实际情况出发，该教学方法还有其存在的理由。外语教学工作者不应该冷淡这种教学方法，而应该在改革教学方法的过程中，综合运用语法翻译教学法和其他新的教学方法，因材施教，才能从真正意义上提高大学英语教学的质量。

| Abstract: | With the development of college English teaching, numerous new teaching methods have come into being. But because of that, Grammar-Translation Method, a traditional teaching method, has received unjust treatment. The author of the paper believes that, from Chinese students' reality, this method should by no means be brushed aside in teaching foreign language. The sensible way of teaching English as a foreign language is to integrate Grammar-Translation Method and other new teaching methods and only in this way can the language teaching be improved to a new stage. |
