公共文化视角下高校英语教学中的文学翻译策略

摘    要:公共文化是特定的历史背景和社会环境作用下的结果,其具备共享性和开放性、仪式性和符号化、差异化和地域性、建构性和空间性等功能和特征。在高校英语文学翻译教学中,教师应以公共文化为视角,坚持功能对等原则,采用直译、意译等翻译方法,帮助学生了解文化功能,明确各种语言文化或语境的融合,促进不同语言文化的有效融合。

Abstract:Public culture is depended by the specific historical background and social environment,which has functions and characteristics including sharing and opening,ritualism and symbolization,differentiation and regionalism,construction and space.Hence,for the teaching of English literary translation in colleges and universities,the author think that it should adhere to the principle of functional equivalence and adopt literal or free translation from perspective of public culture.These strategies aim to help students understand the cultural functions,clarify the integration of various languages cultures or contexts,and promote effectively its integration.
