| 摘 要： | 马礼逊作为第一位来华传教的新教徒,在中西文化交流史上有着重要的地位。他通过创办报刊、设立学校、翻译《圣经》、编纂字典等活动,为传播西学做出了杰出贡献。马礼逊传播基督教,配合英国对华贸易掠夺,是出于为殖民势力服务的初衷,具有历史的局限性。

| Abstract: | Robert Morrison,the first Protestant to preach in China,had an important position in the history of Chinese- Westem cultural exchanges.His preaching activities,including running publications,establishing schools,translating"the Holy Bible",and compiling dictionaries,contributed greatly to the spread of western learning in Chins.But his spread of Christianity cooperated with the British looting of China through trade and had the original intent of serving colonial forces and therefore had its historical limitations. |
