| Abstract: | The present author gives a preliminary analysis to the origin, the development and the classification of the special literature form Ci, and then discusses the development of Ci in the Tang Dynasty and the Five Dynasties. Finally, the article deals with the main schools of Ci in the two Song Dynasties. |
