| 摘 要： | 在《呼啸山庄》故事的结尾,希克力放弃了继续复仇,通常被认为是他人性的复苏。通过分析艾米莉的宇宙观,认为并非他人性的回归,而是他兴趣不再,觉着毫无意义。相反,卡瑟琳与希克力灵魂的最终结合,哈里顿和卡茜的美满婚姻体现了艾米莉灵魂永生。人是宇宙的一部分,宇宙秩序会和谐重建的宇宙观。

| Abstract: | At the end of "Wuthering Heights",Heathcliff gave up the revenge which is often considered to be the recovery of his hu-man nature.This paper demonstrates that the ultimate soul combination of Catherine and Heathcliff and the happy marriage between Cathy and Hareton embody Emily’s view that one’s soul is eternal,and that man is part of the universe which will be in a harmo-nious order at last. |
