| Abstract: | The reform in the curriculum of elementary education and the issue of the new criteria for the English course have given a new challenge to the initial teachers education in Higher Normal Schools. How should we adjust the goals, the curriculum and contents, as well as improve our ways of teaching, in order to cultivate qualified English teachers who, with sustained ability to develop themselves, can fit in with the current education reform and adapt future challenges? These will be discussed in the paper. |
