| Abstract: | This article introduces the definition, key elements and types of concept maps, and the methods and procedures in designing concept maps. According to the new standard of curriculum for geography and the related teaching contents in the textbooks published by People's Education Press, this paper discusses how to ingeniously use concept maps to organize the teaching process and optimize geography teaching in middle schools by giving detailed teaching examples, so as to enhance its positive functions in helping students to recognize and memorize related concepts, strengthen students' ability of understanding and mastering the basic theories and improve students' exploring consciousness and study ability. |
