| 摘 要： | 古越藏书楼是中国近代最早创办的开放性图书馆。开放性图书馆包括“私有公用”的私立图书馆和“公有公用”的公共图书馆。“公有公用”和“私有公用”在“公用”方面虽然相似，但却有本质上的差异，不能混为一谈。古越藏书楼属“私有公用”的私立图书馆，这一点决定了她不是公共图书馆，自然，也就不可能成为中国图书馆百年历史中最早出现的公共图书馆。

| Abstract: | Gu-yue Collection is the first library extablished in modern China offering open access to its collection.Although libraries offering open access to their collections through the ages fall into two categories as private and public ones,they take different meaning in their nature,which cannot be mixed up.The fact that Gu-yue Collection was the first private library offering public access does not prove it a public library,and,naturally,it cannot be the first pubic library in the centennial history of modern li- braries in China. |
