Abstract: | Data on serials resources in Canadian libraries are presented for the period of the three years 1981-1983. The growth of serials collections in 42 university libraries is examined, indicating uneven increases in various regions. Only Ontario university libraries recorded substantial and continued growth. These data are compared with the serial resources of the National Library and the Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information, which both provide nation-wide lending services. The state of serials collections in selected college and public libraries is also presented. |
