| Abstract: | Digital library has been suspected because of the copyright problems. The paper compared the different elements, types and characteristics between the digital library and online publishing by the concept of publishing. The paper holds that digital library and online publishing have different functions, readers, uses, economic benefits and values. But they also have some common ground of publishing. With development of the Internet resource and under the law of protection of the intellectual property rights, digital library and online publishing will coexist, be mutually beneficial and inspire each other both in the content and organization. |
