OA式科学传播系统的结构与运行机制透视——以“科学公共图书馆”为例

摘    要:为支持和倡导开放获取(OA)运动而诞生的科学公共图书馆(PLoS),既是OA科学期刊的出版者,又是传播科学信息的数字图书馆,同时还可被视为一种社会一技术互动系统。文章以STIN模型为工具,透视了PLoS科学传播系统的结构。然后从科学信息的合法传播、科学信息的长期有效传播、资金运作模式、科学信息的质量认证等方面对PLoS科学传播系统的运行机制进行剖释。

Abstract:The Public Library of Science (PLoS), built for promoting Open Access movement, is a publisher of OA journal in science as well as a digital library delivering science information. Moreover, it can be regarded as a socio-technical interaction system. Based upon STIN model, this article gives a view in the perspective of the structure of the communication system in science- PLoS, then analyses and explains its operation mechanism from different aspect such as Open Access license, long-term archiving, business model, and quality certification.
