| Abstract: | In order to position in precise terms the essential function of libraries in the present stage, the article analyzes the evolution of the library function and the similarities and differences of the document management and the knowledge management, and approaches the causes and the main expressive patterns that help to bring about the evolution of the library's essential function with the aid of a comparative study of the early library, the modem library and the library of the Internet age. |
