Seeking Uniformity in Cross-Database Searching |
| |
Abstract: | Librarians and other database searchers are encouraged to voice their concern about the lack of uniformity in command structure and search logic to the leading producers of databases used most by those in the legal community. The database comparison chart, which may be useful in training cross-database searchers, presents the major differences in search logic and command structure between Westlaw, Lexis, RLIN, OCLC, DIALOG, Wilsonline, Vu-Text, and Carlyle. |
