| Abstract: | Based on investigations, this paper points out that many academic periodicals don't conform to the norms in translating Chiese names (family name plus given name) into English at persent, and introduces all sidedly the relevant domestic norms and international norms. By citing examples, this paper also analyses eight types of errors in translating the Chinese names, and presents views on the causes of the translating errors and the ways to redress them. |
