| Abstract: | Purpose/Significance] By analyzing the role transformation of university librarians in foreign countries, this paper understands the requirements of the changing times for the career development of librarians, and provides suggestions on improving the ability of librarians and how to deal with the change of the scientific research environment.Method/Process] Taking the research support service subjects of 10 first-class university libraries abroad as the research object, this paper used the comparative analysis method toanalyzetheir roletransformation from the post responsibilities and ability conditions on the basis of literature research and investigation research.Result/Conclusion] Studies have shown that foreign university librarians, in addition to the role of traditional disciplines, theyalso play three roles of managers, leaders and educators, and show three characteristics of "detailed division of responsibilities and quality specialization", "coordinated promotion of service process" and "sustainable career growth". |
