市场经济时代图书馆的转型与定位

摘    要:探讨市场经济和信息社会环境下图书馆如何转型并重新定位的问题;提出图书馆是介于政府和企业之间的非营利性社会组织的观点,认为图书馆产品是非垄断性的公共物品,可以通过政府和非营利性机构两种资源配置机制来向社会提供服务,在此基础上,探讨两种图书馆市场化运作的形式,并从市场角度对图书馆的前景审视。

Abstract:The library is a department between the market and the political realms. It is a non-profit social organization between the government and the enterprise. The products of the library are non-monopolistic public articles, which can be provided for the society by two kinds of resource disposal mechanisms of the government and non-profit organizations. The characteristics of the quasi-public article of the library can be transferred into that of the private or quasi-private articles. The market ought to get involved restrictively and the government should keep its regulation functions.
