| Abstract: | Compares the public libraries in China and the U.S.A. from three perspectives: 1)the areas in which the public libraries in China are doing better than that in the U.S.A. , 2) the areas in which the public libraries of the two countries are doing similar activities, and 3)the areas in which the public libraries of the two countries are doing things differently. Through comparisons , Chinese librarians may gain an objective understanding of the achievements and problems of the public hbraries in China in recent years. Also, they may learn about the public libraries in the U.S.A. |
