| 摘 要： | 国外电子期刊的发展已有近20年的历史。电子期刊的超文本、超链接及多媒体特性和传统印刷型期刊大不相同，除了可省去储存空间、实时传送、提供个人化的期刊外，还提供资料库检索的功能。从资科使用的角度看，内容庞杂的期刊资料经过整理并建立起数据库后，资料的保存与查询将变得十分重要。本文将就电子期刊的定义、特色及发展进行初步探讨。

| Abstract: | Electronic journals have developed for nearly 20 years abroad. The features of hypertext, hyperlink and multimedia of electronic journals are very different from those of traditional journals. Electronic journals not only provide database searching but also save space. The building - up of databases on the basis of vast and diverse materials included in journals will facilitate information preservation and search. The purpose of this paper is to make an initial analysis on the definition, features and development of electronic journals. |
