Schools are increasingly acknowledging their responsibility to guide students in their career development. However, the guidance that is provided in the Netherlands, as well as in other Western countries, focuses for the most part on helping students towards their academic achievement, and not on helping them to develop competencies to manage their own career. In order to promote this type of career guidance, 37 secondary vocational schools in the Netherlands participated in a project that offered a training programme, aiming to teach teachers how to conduct career dialogues with students. The programme offers expert guidance to integrate a dialogical approach to career guidance and a more enquiry- and practice-based curriculum in the school’s vision and policy. In this article, the results of semi-structured interviews with 50 teachers who participated in the project are presented. These interviews were conducted right after the start of the project, to study how teachers perceive the initial situation regarding career development in their schools, as well as their perception of the initiated plans and ambitions for development, both in their own learning environment and the learning environment of their students.  相似文献

普通高中学生发展指导是促进学生个性养成、自主发展的重要途径,亦是推动普通高中多样化发展的应有之义.我国普通高中通过建立导师制,开展职业生涯规划、社会体验,整合校内原有资源建立评估系统等方式来强化对学生的发展指导,教会学生学会选择,实现自主发展.各校的实践同时也暴露出了学生发展指导理论支撑不够,政府责任缺失,专职专业教师匮乏、进修渠道不畅,编制、经费不到位等现实问题.未来我国学生发展指导必须走向制度化、专业化、体系化.  相似文献

This paper presents the findings of the qualitative component of a combined methods research study that explores a range of individual and school factors that influence the uptake of chemistry and physics in post-compulsory study in England. The first phase involves using the National Pupil Database to provide a sampling frame to identify four matched pairs of high-uptake and low-uptake schools by salient school factors. Case studies of these eight schools indicate that students employ selection strategies related to their career aspirations, their sense of identity and tactics, and their prior experience. The school factors influencing subject choice relate to school management, student support and guidance, and student empowerment. The most notable differences between students in high-uptake and low-uptake schools are that students in high-uptake schools appear to make a proactive choice in relation to career aspirations, rather than a reactive choice on the basis of past experience. Schools with a high uptake offer a diverse science curriculum in the final two years of compulsory study, set higher examination entry requirements for further study and, crucially, provide a range of opportunities for students to interact with the world of work and to gain knowledge and experience of science-related careers.  相似文献

以惠州学院为例,对生物师范生职业生涯规划现状进行了调查.调查显示,生物师范生认知不足,专业认同度低,生涯意识不强,就业观念不当,学校尚未建立起合理的职业生涯指导队伍等.通过分析认为:可以建立职业生涯规划指导队伍、加强个性化指导、务实专业基础、加强生物师范生内涵建设、积极探索复合型培养模式等对策,以提升核心竞争力.同时要加强对大学生转变就业观念的教育,为促进学生职业生涯规划的实现做好准备.  相似文献

Contrary to guidance counsellors elsewhere in North America who hold a master’s degree, career and guidance counselling services in secondary schools in Ontario are delivered by teachers who have completed additional undergraduate studies. Guidance counsellors are pivotal components of the school as they complete tasks that promote students’ overall development. The aim of this qualitative study was to explore how teachers perceive and describe the process of becoming guidance counsellors in Ontario. The thematic analysis revealed four major themes that articulated the process of becoming a guidance counsellor in Ontario: peer guidance, contextual factors, professional experience, and theoretical knowledge.  相似文献

在高校研究生扩招背景下,毕业生人数与就业岗位需求之间的矛盾日益凸显,研究生就业指导教育应发挥重要作用。就业指导课程是高校做好就业指导教育的重要抓手和载体,然而,目前国内高校在研究生就业指导课程的开展中存在诸多问题。基于对74名高校教师和383名研究生的调查,分析当前高校研究生就业指导课程开展现状,发现学校重视程度不高、尚未清晰认识到开设课程的必要性和迫切性、研究生需求多元化以及师资队伍建设有待加强等问题,针对当前现状提出相关的改革路径。  相似文献

本研究被试为普通师范院校大学生675名。自编“师范生教师职业态度”问卷,问卷由职业认知、职业声望、职业情感、职业行为倾向、职业吸引五个因素组成,共28个题。结果显示:师范生教师职业态度均分属于中等偏上水平,未达积极水平。男生与女生在职业声望因素上有显著差异,后者高于前者。来自农村与城市的学生在职业声望、职业情感、职业行为倾向上有显著差异,前者高于后者。文理科、不同地区的师范生教师职业态度无差异。并针对调查结果,提出提高师范生教师职业态度方法。  相似文献

大学生职业生涯规划的网络化是指导理念与技术革新的有机融合,是大学生就业指导工作在新形势下向前推进的必然趋势和要求。我国现有的毕业生就业服务信息网站在网络资源整合、就业环境预测、社会职业状况、信息服务系统、生涯教育课程开发、职业性向测评和网上咨询辅导等方面与国外相比还有很大差距。实现大学生职业生涯规划网络化的路径主要有就业信息的网络化与合理应用、指导内容的多样化与方式创新、主体需求的个性化与互动交流等。  相似文献

Teachers' career transitions and their positive as well as negative outcomes were left relatively untouched in the literature and research on education. In an effort to fill in gaps in knowledge, this paper reports the findings of a life story study that explored inter‐school transitions during the career cycle of mid‐career women teachers in Israel. The study aimed at understanding the process of voluntary IST and its association with the teachers' self‐renewal, as well as to unearth contextual and biographical determinants that facilitate this kind of connection in their career cycle. Based on life story interviews with eight primary and secondary teachers, the study provides insight into a positive consequence of the inter‐school transition among mid‐life teachers. In subsequence to the transition, the teachers reported having a sense of greater self‐esteem/image, feeling energy replenishing and enthusiasm and increasing inclination to launch changes and innovations, all of which are elements of the professional's self‐renewal process. This article reports on a qualitative study on the issues experienced teachers may encounter in everyday teaching practice. Some issues may possibly originate at the beginning of a career and continue to be a struggle during their career. Data were collected among 20 mid- and late career teachers from eight secondary schools. The results showed that at the current moment in their career, respondents of this study particularly recognised three issues: teacher–parent interaction, teaching versus other tasks and private life versus work. Teachers seldom talk about their issues, but more often than not they try to find a solution themselves or put up with the situation.  相似文献
