从2003年开始，“新闻发言人制度”、“新闻发言人”开始成为热门话题。我国早在1983年就正式确立了政府新闻发言人制度，2003年新闻发言人制度在全国各级政府部门迅速普及，其中一项重要的原因是因为在SARS肆虐中国的这场危机中，政府和公众都充分认识到了信息公开的紧迫性与重要性。作为信息公开机制的一个重要组成部分，政府新闻发言人制度在危机处理中发挥了重大的作用。与此同时，学术界开始了对新闻发言人制度的系列研究，新闻发言人制度成为了很多学科的热门课题。 相似文献

This research contends that prospective donors to charitable organizations impute topic specific expertise to spokespersons who wear professional uniforms. The attribution of topic specific expertise, in turn, strengthens intentions to assist charities. In three experiments, prospective donors listened to public service announcements in which a female spokesperson solicited donations to a crime stoppers program or a leukemia research fund. In study 1, the spokesperson wore either topic relevant uniforms or a generic business suit. Participants in the uniform conditions reported stronger intentions to help than those in the generic conditions. In study 2, the spokesperson wore either topic relevant or topic irrelevant uniforms. Participants in the topic relevant conditions reported stronger intentions and larger monetary pledges than those in the topic irrelevant conditions. The effects of topic relevancy on intentions were more pronounced for the leukemia research fund than for the crime stoppers program suggesting that the nurse's uniform may have been more appropriate for female speakers than the sheriff's uniform. In study 3, the spokesperson who wore topic relevant uniforms was rated as more knowledgeable and socially attractive than the spokesperson who wore topic irrelevant uniforms. The communicative import of uniforms and the utility of developing institutional clothing for charitable organizations are discussed. 相似文献

The International Network Structure of News Media: An Analysis of Hyperlinks Usage in News Web sites

This study takes a network approach to examining international communication. Building upon the world system theory and the preferential attachment network theorem, the structure of the international network created by news media is examined. The use of external hyperlinks in 6,298 foreign sries in 20 languages from 223 news Web sites in 73 countries was examined. Findings revealed that information continues to flow from a handful of countries to the rest of the world. News media preferred linking to established information sources, typically in core counties. This study concludes that news media use new technology to replicate old practices. 相似文献

This study examines local web search data as a window into residents’ information needs surrounding the issue of urban crime. Media system dependency theory is used to explain the dynamic, interdependent relationships between changes in the local crime rate (i.e., the social system), news coverage of crime (i.e., the media system), and residents’ (i.e., the audience’s) online searches for crime-related information. It was hypothesized that crime rates and news coverage of crime would increase residents’ information needs, motivating residents to go online to search for crime-related information to cope with an increased sense of uncertainty. The responsiveness of local newspapers to residents’ dynamic information needs was also evaluated. In an initial study in Minneapolis, Minnesota, violent crime and newspaper coverage of crime did predict online searches for crime-related information. But news coverage did not predict searches for crime-related information in a follow-up study in St. Louis, Missouri. Coverage in neither city’s newspapers was responsive to changes in aggregate crime-related online searches. Reasons for differences between the two cities are discussed, as are theoretical implications for future efforts to assess what local residents’ information needs are and to evaluate whether they are being met. 相似文献

The study examines the relationship between positional minorities, social minorities (i.e., African‐Americans and women) and the evaluations of persuasive arguments within the context of hypothetical small groups. Specifically, the study predicted that positional majority arguments would be evaluated most positively when identified with social minorities and that positional minority arguments would be evaluated least positively when identified with social minorities. Results demonstrated that when majority arguments were attributed to an African‐American spokesperson, they were evaluated more favorably than when the spokesperson was European‐American. However, spokesperson race did not influence evaluations of minority arguments. Spokesperson gender also did not influence argument evaluations for either position. 相似文献
