为顺应工程教育认证对土木工程专业学生英语应用能力的要求,提高土木工程专业英语课程的教学效果,利用问卷在厦门理工学院土木工程专业学生中进行教改调研,了解学生对专业英语学习的真实态度和个人诉求。根据调研数据,分析和讨论了学生对土木工程专业英语学习的认同度及其变化规律。文章的研究结论可以为土木工程专业的其他课程,在进行课程建设或教学大纲修改时提供参考。 相似文献

In this article, we present the results of the administration of a questionnaire designed to evaluate the understanding that civil engineering students have of the antiderivative. The questionnaire was simultaneously administered to samples of Mexican and Colombian students. For the analysis of the answers, we used some theoretical and methodological notions provided by the theoretical model known as Onto-Semiotic Approach (OSA) to mathematical cognition and instruction. The results revealed the meanings of the antiderivative that are more predominantly used by civil engineering students. Also, the comparison between the mathematical activity of Mexican and Colombian students provides information that allows concluding that the meanings mobilized could be shared among their communities and are not particular of their classroom or university. 相似文献

The importance of determining the personality profile of the civil engineering profession is stressed. Personality profiles for civil engineering students have been determined and compared with those of other subject areas. The personality factors were also compared with the examination performance in order to determine the extent to which penonality factors are significant in the civil engineering degree course. It was not possible to separate the top students from the bottom students in the examination on the basis of personality; a similar set of personality factors were important for both groups. 相似文献

The aim of this study is to understand the motivating factors behind students’ choices in their decision-making process and also get an insight on their perception of different engineering branches. A survey was prepared and the results were evaluated amongst 1163 answers. Two major influences on student's decision in their professional choices are shown to be career services and family members. Generally, students have claimed to choose a profession based on ‘finding a job’ and ‘being happy’. Some engineering branches such as Genetic and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Industrial Engineering, are shown to be distinctly preferred by female students, whereas mechanical, civil and electronic engineering are favourites for male students. The survey results were also compared with the distribution of male and female students in various engineering departments. This study clearly shows that certain engineering branches are perceived as more appropriate for women and are thus favoured by female students, while those perceived as more appropriate for men are favoured by male students. 相似文献

This paper presents an investigation of how experience-led content in an engineering degree can be strengthened by creating opportunities for engineering students to benefit from the knowledge, skills and resources of students with current professional experience. Students who study civil engineering part-time at Coventry University (while also working in the industry) are being used as mentors for full-time students, and careful attention is being paid to the input they can make to group project work. This paper reviews the results of evaluations of these two initiatives. The clearest enhancement to learning provided by the part-time students in these settings is the access they provide for the full-time students to real examples and the provision of actual physical artefacts such as drawings, photos, example documents and templates. Full-time students also gain an awareness of the value of the professional skills. The study confirms the value of these initiatives and points to future improvements. 相似文献

Speed and diversification of technological as well as political development change the prediction of whether there will be a shortage or overflow of civil engineering students in Germany. In order to answer this question as satisfactorily as possible the interested reader will be provided with some of the latest data, as well as with the main traits of the German system of engineering education. Even though this brief communication only deals with civil engineers, many of the conclusions are also true for other relevant disciplines in German engineering. To what extent there will be a change in the ‘engineering system 2000’—only introduced in 1989—in the German Democratic Republic or, even more importantly, to what degree there will be a joint venture building industry in the two German states can only be guessed at. In any case there is a second momentum besides that of the European Market of 1993 which will strongly influence the recruitment and demand of civil engineering students in Germany. 相似文献

“弹塑性力学”是土木工程研究生的专业学位课,也是一门内容抽象、公式繁杂的理论课程。为了激发研究生对该课程的学习兴趣,进行了以能力培养为导向的教学改革,具体举措有:(1)压缩教师讲台授课,推出网络课程;(2)增加土木工程实例与前沿教学;(3)尝试“请学生走上讲台,让同学讨论评价”的教学形式;(4)推行全过程、多样化的学习评价方式。通过在教学方式、教学内容、教学环节、教学评价上的改革,发展了研究生的学习能力、应用能力、创新能力、沟通与表达能力,也获得了他们的好评。 相似文献

工程实习是地方高校应用型专业人才培养的重要环节,提高实习质量对培养能设计、会施工、懂管理的工程类高层次应用型人才,起着决定性作用。通过问卷调查法,对某高校土木程专业学生工程实习的现状做了调查。调查内容包括学生实习前的思想和知识能力准备、实习的过程管理、学生对实习工作的满意度和对实习工作的期望和建议等四个方面。调研结果可供国内同类高校的土木工程专业进一步加强工程实习管理、提高实习质量和优化人才培养方案提供重要依据。 相似文献
