This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parents (父母). When we were young, we loved to play with Morn and Dad ... When we grow up (长大), we leave (离开) them, and only (仅仅) come to them when we need some- thing or when we are in trouble (在困境中). No matter what, parents will always (总是) be there and give everything they could to make you happy. You may think that the boy is cruel (残忍的) to the tree but that's how all of us are treating (对待) our parents.  相似文献

This study intends to investigate and determine the types of corporal punishment and their frequency used by parents on their primary school age children that are within the context of light, violent and very violent physical aggressive behavior. This research was realized with 151 first, second and third grade pupils at a primary school in Bursa. The Turkish version of Picture-Card Version for Young Children of the Parent-to-Child Conflict Tactics Scales developed by Straus (2002) was used. Between 1.5% and 22.1% of the children reported that their parents "Sometimes" and "Often" used light physical aggressive behaviors. 30.3% of the students reported that their parents "Sometimes" and 7.7% of parents "Often" inflicted violent physical aggressive behaviors. 7.7% of the students reported that their parents "Often" and 34.9% of parents "Sometimes" inflicted very violent physical aggressive behaviors. It is expected that the findings of this study will raise the awareness of school stuff and educationalists.  相似文献

I still remember the words “I love Beijing, I love Beijing Tian'anmen”-which I read in the Chinese textbook when I was young. Beijing has been mysterious for me all the time. I was eager to visit her. My parents took me on a tour to Beijing during the summer holiday, 2005. It is well- known that Beijing is the capital city of the People's Republic of China and also the second largest city in China after Shanghai. It was a great journey. Now let me tell you my experience to Beijing; let us share the happiness of travelling.  相似文献

Stephen Leacock(1869-1944) is one of the founding parents of Canadian letters and literature. In the early 20thcentury, his reputation as a humorist and a political economist was not limited by the boundaries of Canada but spread around the world. As one of his works, Sunshine Sketches of a Little Town has attracted world-wide admiration. It is a series of vignettes dramatizing the comedy of day-to-day life in Mariposa. It is bathed in the warm sunshine for all of us to laugh at as one of us remembers the little towns we might have known or come from. As a matter of fact, Leacock employs several techniques in his writing for humorous effect. This paper elaborates on the auther and the work, and makes an analysis on the character—Smith.  相似文献

In this paper, the role of parents in supporting their children's progress, as a factor affecting Turkish-speaking children's achievement, has been explored. It is a fact that Turkish-speaking pupils, when compared with other ethnic groups, such as Bangladeshi and Somali, struggle, underachieve, and still continue performing low in the British education system. The Turkish community has been resident in the United Kingdom (UK) for over 70 years with the current estimated population of 450,000. However, the community is invisible in the society; their diverse needs are not known; and there are limited research and government reports. The relevant data and research findings indicate that there are various factors for the underachievement of the Turkish-speaking pupils. This study shows the degree of importance of parental participation for Turkish-speaking parents in supporting their children's achievement. As a result, lack of parental involvement is one of the important factors in achievement; and a majority of parents stated that they could not involve in their children's learning because a number of reasons evaluated in the paper.  相似文献

<正>“Keep your elbows1 off of the table.”“Don't slurp2 your soup.”“Say ‘please’”Most of us have heard our parents say these phrases many times. Did our parents simply enjoy enforcing3 these rules, or do good manners actually have a purpose in life? As we mature4, manners, or the socially correct way of acting, become more and more important. Good manners are nec-essary to succeed in business, social, and family situa-tions.  相似文献

The Joy of Labor
<正>Wise men of ancient times and successful men of today have told us that labor is sweet. Its reward is not material gain but what one becomes by it. Work does much more for us than just giving us a living; it gives us our life and the reason for living.  相似文献

Should we easily wail about the embarrassment and the unfairness of life?Or should we accept obstacles as challenges? With a choice of stance we can allow ourselves to be oppressed victims. When anything happens to us,we can take it as a sign that we should not expect anything good out of our lives. These are times when we need to determine whether it is wisdom or fear that motivates us in our choices.……  相似文献

Teachers are just like our parents. They spend much time on our studies. They always want us to learn as much as possible.Because of this,we always have little time to relax. If I were a teacher,I would teach the students how to learn well.If my students made mistakes in my subject,I would not worry much about it.Failure is the mother of success.I would tell them to review what they have learned and find the solutions to the problem. And I won't forget one important thing, that is,if I were a teacher,I would give them less homework.I would give them more free time to relax themselves.  相似文献

China has entered the era of surplus economy when it is possible for Chinese people to satisfy their material needs. However, since the supply of cultural product is far below the level of its de mand, the people are still in a deficit state in spiritual life. The deficiency in spiritual life is quite dif ferent from that in material life, in the sense that it cannot be overcome by the development of culture industry. The way of satisfying a cultural need is wholly different from that of a material need, thus the substitute of the former with the latter necessarily leads to the alienation of needs. Only when we substitute “preference economics” with “necessary economics” is it possible for us to see the potential ity of transformation from the “bourgeois society” to the “human society”, revealed by Marxian cri tique of political economics, and to set the base for the theoretical innovation of the transformation era. Western Marxist Critique of Political Economics has provided us with a rewarding reference.  相似文献

Objective: To identify the mutations of iduronate-2-sulfatase (IDS) gene, to reveal its mutation features, and to establish a basis for genetic counseling and prenatal gene diagnosis of Hunter syndrome. Methods: Urine glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) assay, PCR and DNA sequencing were performed to detect mutation of IDS gene of the patient and his parents. Results: The result showed that the patient was: DS( ), HS( ), KS(-), CS(-), and that both of his parents were negative. A frame-shift deletion mutation (1062 del 16) was identified in exon 7 of the patient's IDS gene. His parents' genotypes were normal. Conclusion:The patient's mutation was not inherited by his parents but a novel one. The mutation probably altered the primary structure and tertiary structure of IDS enzyme protein remarkably and lowered the activity of IDS enzyme greatly. Therefore it is supposed to be the direct cause of the disorder.  相似文献
