Multiple-group analysis in covariance-based structural equation modeling (SEM) is an important technique to ensure the invariance of latent construct measurements and the validity of theoretical models across different subpopulations. However, not all SEM software packages provide multiple-group analysis capabilities. The sem package for the R system, which holds an important position as the only open-source SEM software, does not currently offer multigroup analysis. This article offers an alternative to true multigroup modeling that is easy to understand and apply in the R software. It is limited, however, by the constraint that groups require equal sample size.  相似文献

We present a multigroup multilevel confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) model and a procedure for testing multilevel factorial invariance in n-level structural equation modeling (nSEM). Multigroup multilevel CFA introduces a complexity when the group membership at the lower level intersects the clustered structure, because the observations in different groups but in the same cluster are not independent of one another. nSEM provides a framework in which the multigroup multilevel data structure is represented with the dependency between groups at the lower level properly taken into account. The procedure for testing multilevel factorial invariance is illustrated with an empirical example using an R package xxm2.  相似文献

In order to enhance our understanding of inter-individual differences in scholastic motivation, this study examined if self-determination predicts the school engagement of four different motivation types (MT) in a large sample of adolescent students (N = 1088) from Brandenburg, Germany: (1) peer-dependent MT, (2) teacher-dependent MT, (3) peer-and-teacher-dependent MT and (4) peer-and-teacher-independent MT. Using structural equation modelling (SEM), the four types were first compared on latent variables (perceived self-determination and school engagement) and then, a latent multigroup SEM was conducted to test whether self-determination (competence, relatedness and autonomy) would predict emotional and behavioural school engagement separately by MT. The findings underscore the relevance of the typology as well as important inter-individual differences in the association between students’ psychological needs (competence, relatedness and autonomy) and their school engagement.  相似文献

Mean and mean-and-variance corrections are the 2 major principles to develop test statistics with violation of conditions. In structural equation modeling (SEM), mean-rescaled and mean-and-variance-adjusted test statistics have been recommended under different contexts. However, recent studies indicated that their Type I error rates vary from 0% to 100% as the number of variables p increases. Can we still trust the 2 principles and what alternative rules can be used to develop test statistics for SEM with “big data”? This article addresses the issues by a large-scale Monte Carlo study. Results indicate that empirical means and standard deviations of each statistic can differ from their expected values many times in standardized units when p is large. Thus, the problems in Type I error control with the 2 statistics are because they do not possess the properties to which they are entitled, not because of the wrongdoing of the mean and mean-and-variance corrections. However, the 2 principles need to be implemented using small sample methodology instead of asymptotics. Results also indicate that distributions other than chi-square might better describe the behavior of test statistics in SEM with big data.  相似文献

Enthusiasm is considered an important characteristic of effective teachers. However, the conceptualization of the term in the research literature is inconsistent. Whereas most studies use the term “enthusiasm” to describe features of instruction, some have used it to describe a characteristic of teachers. This research seeks to clarify the concept of teacher enthusiasm, examining its dimensionality and context specificity. The study draws on three samples of teachers who were administered questionnaire measures of enthusiasm. In two samples (N = 205 and 332), it was possible to match teacher data with data on the students taught. In another sample (N = 113), additional measures of work-related wellbeing were implemented. Confirmatory multigroup factor analyses showed that two dimensions of teacher enthusiasm can be distinguished, namely enthusiasm for teaching and enthusiasm for the subject. These dimensions differed in their meaning and context specificity. Whereas teaching enthusiasm was systematically linked to occupational wellbeing and to classroom variables, subject enthusiasm related only moderately to other measures of occupational wellbeing and was independent of characteristics of the classes taught.  相似文献

The Rosenberg Self-Esteem scale (RSE) has been widely used in examinations of sex differences in global self-esteem. However, previous examinations of sex differences have not accounted for method effects associated with item wording, which have consistently been reported by researchers using the RSE. Accordingly, this study examined the multigroup invariance of global self-esteem and method effects associated with negatively worded items on the RSE between males and females. A correlated traits, correlated methods framework for modeling method effects was combined with a standard multigroup invariance routine using covariance structure analysis. Overall, there were few differences between males and females in terms of the measurement of self-esteem and method effects associated with negatively worded items on the RSE. Our findings suggest that, whereas method effects exist on the RSE scale for both males and females, the method effects associated with negatively worded items do not influence the measurement invariance and mean differences in global self-esteem scores between the sexes.  相似文献

以KMnO4与MnSO4为原料,采用水热法制备了α-MnO2纳米线;采用XRD、IR、SEM、EDS、DTA-TG等对样品的物相、结构、形貌、成分及热稳定性进行了表征;初步研究了反应温度、水热时间及溶剂种类对纳米结构MnO2合成的影响,并探讨了MnO2的晶型转变和-αMnO2纳米线的生长过程。结果表明:①所得α-MnO2纳米线粗细均匀,分散度好,其直径约为50~60 nm;②在水体系中,温度较低和反应时间较短时生成具有层状结构的锰的羟基化合物和-δMnO2,随着反应温度的升高(180~220℃)和水热时间的延长(6~48 h)产物转化为-αMnO2;③将溶剂改为正丙醇,在与②相同的条件下得不到MnO2;④α-MnO2纳米线的生长过程为:MnO4-与Mn2+反应生成MnO(OH),MnO(OH)发生氧化反应生成Mn(OH)4,Mn(OH)4发生脱水反应生成MnO2,产物由无规则球形纳米颗粒最终转化为纳米线。实验中通过控制反应参数达到调控MnO2物相和形貌的目的,为氧化物的可控制备及性能调控提供思路。  相似文献

根据团队创造力相关理论,基于变革型领导、团队沟通和个体创造力的作用,构建大学生科技创新团队创造力的结构和关系模型,提出它们之间的假设关系。本研究通过采集90个大学生科技创新团队的样本数据,采用探索性因素分析、验证性因素分析、结构方程等方法对假设进行检验。结果表明,变革型领导对团队沟通、个体创造力及团队创造力皆具有正向影响作用;团队沟通和个体创造力对团队创造力也具有正向影响作用;个体创造力在变革型领导与团队创造力之间起部分中介作用;团队沟通没有起中介作用。建议高校要重视大学生科技创新团队的团队领导培养,提高大学生团队沟通能力和个体创造力,进而提升团队创造力。  相似文献

目的:采用共沉淀法和溶剂热法制备Fe_3O_4纳米磁性粒子,对其药物控释性能进行检测。方法:以正硅酸乙酯(TEOS)为前驱体,采用Stober法,在乙醇/水溶液中,通过氨水催化水解硅醇盐,制得核壳式结构的Fe_3O_4/SiO_2复合磁性微球;以X射线衍射(XRD)、扫描电子显微镜(SEM)、Fourier红外光谱(FTIR)等手段表征样品的结构,研究复合材料的耐酸性、磁分离行为及对药物布洛芬的缓释行为。结果:SEM显示Fe_3O_4与Fe_3O_4/SiO_2粒子均为纳米颗粒,粒径分布基本均匀;与溶剂热法比较,共沉淀法制得的Fe_3O_4晶粒结晶度较好,XRD衍射峰强,SiO_2的包裹使得Fe_3O_4尖锐的特征衍射峰稍微下降,表明包覆过程没有破坏其晶体结构,Fe_3O_4/SiO_2样品谱图中出现了无定型SiO_2的衍射峰,红外谱图同样出现了无定型SiO_2的透射峰。结论:表面二氧化硅的包覆显著改善了四氧化三铁纳米粒子的耐酸性,磁分离实验表明二氧化硅的包裹减弱了Fe_3O_4的磁性,布洛芬缓释实验表明Fe_3O_4/SiO_2复合磁性微球具有较好的药物缓释效果。  相似文献

Previous acculturation research has established the influences of acculturation strategies and social support on cross-cultural adaptation. The present study attempted to elaborate these direct associations by proposing that social support and the use of the integration and marginalization strategies might affect psychological adaptation indirectly, via their influences on sociocultural adaptation. Two hundred and twelve Mainland Chinese students studying at a university in Hong Kong completed measures of psychological and sociocultural adaptation, the integration and marginalization strategies, and social support. Analyses using structural equation modeling (SEM) showed that sociocultural adaptation significantly mediated the effects of integration, marginalization, and social support on psychological adaptation. The direct impacts of social support and the two acculturation strategies on psychological adaptation were not significant. A multigroup SEM analysis revealed no gender differences in the full mediation model. Implications of the findings are discussed.  相似文献

This study was designed to provide longitudinal data about the change and/or the stability of college-bound students' educational and vocational goals and plans as well as their background characteristics. Data from three studies were contrasted and compared. Included in these studies were: (a) a 2-year follow-up of 4,009 junior college students: (b) a 4-year follow-up of 5,623 4-year college and university students; and (c) a comparison of the responses of two independent samples (32,351 and 50,205) of high school seniors.Considerable differences in stability among characteristics were found; however, the changes seem to be orderly and according to logical expectations. The utility of the findings regarding changes and stability in these characteristics for those who work with college populations are discussed, and possible applications are suggested.  相似文献
