Objective. To investigate the stability of 3 constructs (Sensitivity, Delight, and Acceptance of the Parenting Role) of mothers' socioemotional investment in the young child from 15 months and 36 months postpartum. Design. A sample of 102 mothers participated. Factor structure stability, rank-order stability, and mean-level stability were investigated by confirmatory factor analysis, correlational analysis, and paired t tests, respectively. Results. All 3 domains of maternal investment showed reasonable stability. Each maternal investment measure showed at least a basic test of factorial stability. Both Sensitivity and Delight passed stringent tests of factorial stability, and Acceptance of the Parenting Role contained one item that was less valid at 36 months. There were no mean-level differences across time, and all rank-order stability coefficients were above. 50. Conclusions. The stability observed in maternal socioemotional investment, together with findings showing stability in related aspects of parental beliefs and attitudes, suggests that it may be neither simple nor easy to effect change in parents' attitudes and feelings regarding the child. 相似文献

More attention is being given to evaluating the quality of school-level assessment scores due to their importance for school-based planning and monitoring effectiveness. In this study, cross-year stability is proposed as an indicator of data quality and the degree of stability that is appropriate for large-scale assessments of student performance is explored. Following a search of Internet sites, Year 1 to Year 2 stability coefficients were calculated for assessment data from 21 states and 2 provinces. The median stability coefficient was .78 in mathematics and reading, but coefficients for writing were generally lower. A stability coefficient of .80 is recommended as the standard for large-scale assessments of student performance. A high degree of cross-year stability makes it easier to detect and attribute changes in school-level scores to school improvement efforts. The link between stability and reliability and several factors that may attenuate stability are discussed. 相似文献

研究选取了注意缺损多动障碍（ADHD）儿童38名,正常儿童36名,采用两项选择任务,考察在复杂任务中ADHD儿童的注意稳定性是否落后,以及反馈是否能增强ADHD儿童的注意稳定性。结果发现,（1）注意的稳定性会受到任务难度的影响。在复杂任务中,无反馈的条件下ADHD儿童的注意稳定性与正常儿童没有差异;（2）反馈对正常儿童的注意稳定性起到了积极的促进作用,即在反馈条件下,正常儿童的个体变异性减小,注意稳定性增强;但反馈并没有提高ADHD儿童的注意稳定性;（3）复杂任务中,ADHD儿童的认知加工速度落后于正常儿童。 相似文献

stability, differential stability, individual-level stability, and ipsative stability. The study sample was 351 undergraduate
students from end of freshman year to end of junior year. Convergent findings revealed stability rather than change in Internet
addiction. Prior academic self-concept was not associated with individual-level stability, profile consistency, and dispersion.
As academic self-concept revealed no correlation with individual-level stability and ipsative stability, future research should
test the effects of loneliness and depression on individual-level stability, profile consistency, and dispersion in Internet
