志愿服务活动是老年人社会参与的主要渠道,通过分析老年人参与志愿服务的重要性,厘清老年人参与志愿活动面临的困境,建议创新老年人参与志愿服务的体制机制,加大老年人参与志愿服务的宣传力度,健全老年人志愿服务权益保障体系,实施老年志愿者长效管理,完善老年志愿者教育培训,构建以社区为载体的志愿服务参与机制,探索专业社工介入的运行机制,以期为科学设计与开展老年志愿活动提供思路和视角。  相似文献

社区老年人闲暇生活和闲暇教育是近年来受到普遍关注的热点问题,众多学者致力于相关研究。选取浙江温州市内几个社区老年人为样本,采取随机抽样问卷调查、现场访谈等方式,分析老年人参与社区活动的现实状况,社区老年人接受闲暇教育的影响因素。提出以下策略:社区老年人闲暇教育必须根据老年人的身体状况、文化程度等因素进行安排安排;健全保障制度与机制;拓宽渠道,增加经费投入;培养多种类型志愿者,参与帮扶老年人活动;开发各种形式的教育教学课程和拓展丰富多彩的文体活动等。  相似文献

为了解宝鸡市城市老年人参与社会经济发展活动的状况,本文采用文献资料法、问卷调查法、数理统计法对宝鸡市1068名老年人进行了调查与分析。结果表明:老年人从事和不从事有收入工作的占8%和92%;老年人参与工作的主观意愿比例为不愿意16%,愿意33%,无所谓51%;老年人再就业途径由多到少的是:其他、个人关系、市场招聘和单位返聘;老年人从事工作的性质主要为临时性工作;影响老年人再就业的因素依次为身体问题、岗位问题、技术问题和资金问题。这说明老年人参与社会经济发展活动积极性并不高,老年人参与社会经济活动的途径及性质都有待于改善,社会应给予老年人更多的关怀,肯定并认可老年人对推动社会经济发展的作用。  相似文献

参与是第二届世界老龄大会提出的积极老龄化的核心.通过对日本山口县与中国上海市嘉定区各1500名左右的40岁及以上城乡中老年人的调查资料分析,比较两地在终身参与社会的意识、终身参与社会中对工作的态度与人际关系、终身参与志愿者活动等方面的异同,可以为两地如何增强中老年人终身参与社会的意识、给老年人提供参与社会的机会等提供建议.  相似文献

在对广东省751名大学生的志愿服务心态进行问卷调查后,研究分析出大学生参与志愿服务的现状、动机以及对服务活动的认知等内容。结果显示:大多数被调查的在校大学生对志愿服务活动不熟悉、不了解;多数大学生希望对志愿服务活动有更专业化的理解与认识;近八成的大学生志愿者参加志愿者服务的时间是一年以下;绝大多数大学生在参与志愿服务的过程中有着快乐的心理感受;大多数大学生认为参加志愿活动能学习新的技能,能希望发挥自己所长。  相似文献

本文运用文献资料法、数理统计法和逻辑演绎法等研究方法,对洛阳市老年人参与体育健身活动的现状进行调查和分析,结果表明洛阳市老年人参与体育健身的积极性较高,态度积极,目的明确;体育健身项目多种多样,但体育锻炼的方法较单一,缺乏科学性、系统性的指导;体育消费结构虽呈多样化趋势,但仍以实物消费为主.缺少技术指导、无活动场地、缺乏兴趣是影响老年人参与体育健身的最重要因素.  相似文献

Aging population has increased a global concern to keep seniors active and healthy. Civic participation, in particular, has been highlighted for its social and community benefits and its impact on elders’ health and well-being. To date, however, most studies have explored volunteering; other types of civic activities, such as political participation, are largely overlooked. This study analyzes the relationship between older people’s active involvement in political organizations, generativity, and hedonic and eudaimonic well-being. We selected two samples of Spanish older people: a sample of elders actively involved in political organizations (n = 97) and a comparison group (n = 85). Measures of generative concern, hedonic well-being, and eudaimonic well-being were applied. Results showed that politically active elders obtained higher scores on generative concern than comparison group individuals. Furthermore, generative concern predicted higher scores on both eudaimonic and hedonic well-being. However, active involvement in political organizations was not related to higher levels of well-being in the multivariate analyses. Translating generative concerns into effective behaviors, for instance political activities, may imply sacrifices and efforts, such that higher levels of well-being do not necessarily result from these activities. Thus, results from this study call into question the positive effect of civic participation on elders’ well-being, showing that this may not be necessarily the case for those who are actively involved in political organizations. Future research may build on these results to compare the differential effect of different kinds of generative activities on older people’s well-being.  相似文献

This study examined whether voluntary participation in animal care activities in school was associated with 6-year-old children's (N = 41) understanding of animal care procedures. Children who often participated in such activities had better understanding of animal care procedures, based on physical characteristics specific to target animals. But levels of participation were not associated with understanding of procedures which are common to both animals and humans. The results of this study suggest that voluntary participation in animal care activities, reflection on animal care procedures, and other factors all are related to young children's understanding of animal care procedures at school.  相似文献

In blended learning, the internet acts as an instrument to complement traditional forms of instruction, in the belief that the incorporation of new information and communication technologies may lead to more efficient and effective education. This paper presents a study carried out in the University of Granada, during the first year of undergraduate courses, which considered a total of 1,128 students organized into 17 groups during the academic year 2009–2010 and focused on the students’ voluntary use of online learning activities. The results show that the students’ participation in these activities and the number of tasks completed both had a positive effect on the students’ final marks. The time employed in carrying out online tasks did not influence the results achieved but the marks obtained in such activities were a significant factor. In addition, the students’ respective background, rate of class attendance and interest in the subject were explanatory variables of the outcome.  相似文献

Membership in voluntary associations and participation in adult education programmes have long been recognized by researchers in the fields of adult education and sociology as closely related forms of participatory behaviour. This inquiry realizes the potential of this relationship for the study of participation in adult education programmes through the reformulation of a sociological construct called personal influence. It is argued that personal influence in the form of face‐to‐face contact with primary and secondary influentials is at the heart of recruitment strategies targeted at adults, is often an important component of an adult's decision to participate in formally organized learning activities, and may play a critical role in retention and instruction of the adult learner. Secondary analysis of research on voluntary associations, social movement organizations, and adult education programmes, together with data on two populations of adult learners from ar ongoing large scale study of Adult Basic Education participants, underscores the importance of personal influence for explaining the entire range of participatory action and interaction.  相似文献

Several studies examining computer‐mediated communications (CMC) in online courses have found low levels of participation under both voluntary (ungraded) and mandatory (graded) conditions. This is troubling since student participation is widely considered to have a positive impact on performance. Program‐level data were analyzed to explore the relationship between three factors—(1) experience with previous online courses, (2) the course itself, and (3) the instructor—and subsequent participation. All three factors separately impacted participation levels in this voluntary CMC setting. Based on the findings, the authors recommend that researchers using CMC participation level as a study variable consider controlling for three global factors: previous online course experience, course, and instructor. Finally, the relationship between participation level and subsequent performance is tested, and the potential benefits of conducting future CMC research in voluntary discussion settings and with program‐level data are discussed.  相似文献

Similarities and differences were examined in the out‐of‐school recreation and leisure activity participation of 422 children with physical disabilities and 354 children without disabilities. The roles of age (six to eight years, nine to 11 years, and 12–14 years), gender, and disability status were examined with respect to the diversity, intensity, location, companionship, and enjoyment of participation in five types of activities, controlling for family income. The findings indicate that dimensions and types of activity participation are differentially influenced by age, gender, and disability. Age cohort comparisons indicated that children without disabilities experienced a widening social world characterised by more intense social participation, greater participation with non‐family members, and stable levels of enjoyment across the age groups. In contrast, children with disabilities in the various age groups were similar in their intensity of social participation and the nature of their companionship, with 12–14 year olds reporting less enjoyment of social activities than those aged six to eight years or nine to 11 years. The findings support the utility of a developmental and contextual perspective in understanding children’s patterns of participation. The information can be used by service providers and managers interested in creating centre‐based or community‐based recreational opportunities, and in providing information to parents about how to encourage children’s recreation and leisure participation.  相似文献

Four sessions of two professional development seminars were offered to members of an organization. The seminars were voluntary, free of charge, and participants did not receive credit for their attendance. Participation rates and exit survey ratings for the four sessions varied. After the seminars, an analysis using the community of inquiry framework was conducted to better understand what occurred in the dialogue of the seminars to understand whether patterns of facilitator actions related to the amount of participation and exit survey ratings. The design of the seminars, the activities in the seminars, and the importance of the facilitator to plan and then help foster interaction in voluntary professional development seminars are discussed relative to the community of inquiry model.  相似文献
