《中国期刊网》、《中国科技期刊数据库》、《万方数据资源系统》都收录有中文印刷型文科核心期刊原文。分析它们的收录情况,看出我国全文期刊库存在着重复建设突出、空白缺门同时存在等问题。提高全文期刊库收录文科核心期刊完整性的对策有:建立适合我国国情的全文期刊库生产的宏观调控机制,协调现有全文期刊库的收录范围和收录重点,加快我国著作权立法的步伐,加强期刊文献生产、管理与利用者的联系。表3。参考文献7。  相似文献

This paper presents the results of a bibliometric study of the scientific publications that are affiliated with Russia and included in multidisciplinary databases, such as Science Citation Index and Scopus, as well as in the specialized Chemical Abstracts database, in the period from 2005 to 2009. Major bibliometric indicators, including citation indexes, are explored. It is shown that the Scopus database contains most of the Russian publications in the period from 2005 to 2009. While a gradual decrease in the number of peer-reviewed Russian-language journals constitutes a general trend for all three databases, the Chemical Abstracts database leads in terms of the coverage of these journals. It is found that despite the large number of translated versions of journals, Russian publications are still significantly late in their coverage by foreign databases, which has a significant impact on their citation levels.  相似文献

Various published bibliographic and abstract services covering the period 1970-1988 were compared to analyze scope and coverage. A total of 7,281 articles and book titles (1,655 Soviet and 5,626 foreign) were selected on forty-one topics in different medical fields. The titles originated from three different samples but included all Soviet medical literature on the subjects. A distribution of biomedical serials from five databases is given by country, and twelve indices to assess the quality of biomedical databases are suggested.  相似文献

Currently important Russian and foreign sources of scientific and technical information related to robotics are discussed. An attempt is made to analyze scientific and technical periodicals of the relevant subject matter, selected from the global knowledgebase of periodicals, that is, Ulrich’s Directory of Periodicals. Leading scientific serials attributed to robotics that have the best bibliometric indicators according to the global information and analytical systems Scopus and Web of Science are identified. The specific features of the classification of the subject matter in various classification systems and rubricators for scientific and technical information are considered. Special attention is given to Russian scientific periodicals on robotics included in Russian scientific electronic library (eLibrary.ru) and information resources of All-Russian Institute for Scientific and Technical Information of Russian Academy of Sciences (VINITI RAS). Particular focus is placed on the problem of access to these and other kinds of information sources on robotics, which is of great importance for researchers and specialists working in this field.  相似文献

The history of the emergence and development of the abstracting journal Chemical Abstracts is considered starting from its first printed issue up to the present time. At present, the well-known Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) offers a wide range of information resources, including such massive databases (databases) as: CA/CAPlus (~27 million abstracts), the CAS Registry (~31 million organic and inorganic substances [compounds], ~58 million biological sequences), CASREACT (~13 million organic [chemical] reactions), CHEMCATS (~14 million entries of commercially available chemicals and their suppliers), CHEMLIST (~245 thousand high-priority industrial chemicals, their storage and transportation regulations [restrictions]), MARPAT (the CAS Markush database containing the keys to generic substances in patents), as well as specialty-specific [subject-oriented] issues of CA SELECT, the Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index (CASSI) list of journals, and many others. Information retrieval systems are presented that provide access to CAS databases, viz., the STN International and SciFinder.  相似文献

A comprehensive analysis of Germany's chemical periodicals included in the databases of the two leading international information-analytical systems Scopus and Web of Science, a bibliographic database Ulrich's Periodicals Directory, as well as in the database of All-Russia Institute for Scientific and Technical Information of Russian Academy of Sciences (VINITI RAS), was performed. An analytical procedure developed made it possible to analyze effectively different domains of publications, both common to the three databases, as well as various combinations of interest, inter alia an array which was not included in any of them. The data covering the ratings of periodicals were presented basing on generally accepted international scientometric indicators and on processing degree value for the VINITI database. Distribution of subject areas, publishing houses, language of editions, internet access availability were determined. The research results allowed to summarize proposals for optimization of VINITI database workflow in the area studied.  相似文献

With the growing predominance of full-text databases, publisher’s searchable websites, Discovery systems, and Google, abstract and index (A&I) databases are becoming less prominent in the academic library’s collection. The A&I databases enable the serious researcher to more carefully refine their search, but given the users’ growing expectations of ease and “good enough,” this may be a need that is of less importance today. For this reason and given the decreasing budgets for collections, librarians are looking at these resources with a more skeptical eye. In addition to traditional evaluation measures, such as costs, usage, and faculty input, we looked at the overlap of indexing coverage. Those who have conducted such overlap studies have approached them at either the journal or article level. Article-level overlap studies demonstrate coverage of selected articles in the databases under study. Conversely, journal-level studies examine the extent of indexing of journals among the selected databases. Both methods are time-consuming and require extensive resources. A simplification of the journal-level method is to compare lists of journals indexed.  相似文献

Although the USSR and the United States had a comparable number of employees in the field of scientific information, there was a substantial difference in funding, which resulted in a lack of information support for Soviet scientists. While 90% of the publications in the United States were available almost immediately after their release, in the USSR they were delayed by 1.5 to 2 years. Since the publication of the Abstracts Journal by VINITI (AJ), its content was consistently expanding and reached its peak in 1990 (1.5 million documents per year). The next quarter of a century was characterized by a decline in both the composition of the AJ and the time required for its document coverage. The steps for restructuring VINITI activities are discussed. The focus is made on improving the limited coverage of the Russian-language part of the global flow of scientific information by Western information systems.  相似文献

通过分析比较我国医学核心期刊、统计源期刊和一般期刊的出版参数和主要文献计量学指标,为医学中文核心期刊的编辑出版策划提供参考依据.结果显示: 中文核心期刊的论文平均长度、有英文摘要论文比、影响因子、总被引频次和基金论文比均显著高于统计源期刊和一般期刊.而中文核心期刊的出版频率、年总页码数显著高于统计源期刊,但低于一般期刊.在办刊实践中,必须采取综合措施,根据自身情况合理设置出版周期,在保证稿件质量的前提下适当扩大信息容量,多发表学术水平高的研究原著,论文尽可能附英文摘要,刊登论文适当向基金论文倾斜,以提高期刊的学术水平和影响力.  相似文献
