[目的/意义] 归纳总结现有国外图书馆数字馆藏建设游戏项目的实践特点和成功经验，以期为国内图书馆开发设计数字馆藏建设游戏项目提供参考和借鉴。[方法/过程] 综合运用网络调研法和案例分析法，以数字馆藏建设的准备、实施和维护3个阶段为基础，系统地梳理当前国外图书馆馆藏建设中游戏项目的应用形式和实践进展，并以大型开源游戏服务平台——Metadata Game为例，深入剖析该数字馆藏建设游戏项目的基本概况、技术基础、实现机理以及操作方法等内容，从而总结出国外图书馆数字馆藏建设游戏项目的主要特点及经验启示。[结果/结论] 我国图书馆可借鉴国外游戏项目的经验，根据特定建设需要和自身技术条件，在数字馆藏建设项目中逐步引入不同类型、主题及形式的游戏项目。 相似文献

In an era where market consolidation is becoming the norm for proprietary library content and technology services, library consortia are left wondering what they can do to mitigate or counteract the resulting negative consequences. This article explores challenges with respect to market consolidation, and the approaches taken in recent collaborative community-owned projects, including CC-PLUS and FOLIO, in which the authors are involved. These projects may impede market consolidation effects and serve as examples, providing new models for consortial collaboration and those interested in cultivating agency in the provision of core library technology services. 相似文献

Academic libraries routinely partner with other campus units in such areas as information literacy or writing support. However, the Georgia Tech library collaborations described in this article step outside the norm in that librarians are involved throughout the process of designing the collaborative projects; the projects are integrated into the undergraduate curriculum and embrace the science, technology, and design campus focus; the library incurs little or no financial commitment; and projects are ongoing or have long-term effects. The projects continue to change campus perceptions of libraries and librarians, and they have made the library a sought after “cool” collaborator on campus. 相似文献

Few libraries have been immune to the impact of inflation on journal prices, and many have been involved in extensive journal cancellation projects. To aid in the cancellation decision process, Colorado State University Libraries have been compiling internal statistics on journal usage and merging them with statistics from commercial sources. This paper describes the process and outlines how the collected data can be used both to identify journals for cancellation and to provide justification for these decisions to the campus community.As the inflation rate of journals has outstripped many library budgets, cancellation projects have become a routine part of library collection management for universities. These projects are extremely difficult since decisions have serious implications for the collection and library relations with the academic departments. Deciding which journals should be canceled becomes a serious and frustrating task. Statistical information about a library collection can be a valuable tool in both identifying journals for cancellation and justifying cancellation decisions. The Colorado State University Libraries (CSUL) have been collecting a variety of statistics about the periodicals collection for several years. This article will discuss how these statistics were used in a recent cancellation project. 相似文献

[目的/意义]对图书馆数据形态演变情况进行探讨,以了解各种形态下图书馆数据研究的重点及未来研究方向。[方法/过程]在考察OCLC的4个数据科学项目及其反映出的3种数据表现形式的基础上,将图书馆数据形态分为原生形态、聚合形态、扩展形态、关联形态、知识形态等5种类型。[结果/结论]不同的图书馆数据形态有着不同的数据加工深度和广度。可通过多源聚合、内生与外联、关联数据化、知识三元组抽取与融合等途径实现5种数据形态之间的有序演变。 相似文献

Twenty health sciences libraries reported building planning, expansion, or construction of new facilities in the association's second annual survey of recent building projects. Six projects are new, freestanding structures in which the library occupies all or a major portion of the space. Six other projects are part of new construction for separately administered units in which the library is a major tenant. The final eight projects involve additions to or renovations of existing space. Seven of these twenty libraries were still in projected, predesign, or design stages of awaiting funding approval; of those seven, five were not prepared to release the requested information. This article reports on a survey study on the adoption and implementation of automation projects in federal university libraries in the south-west of Nigeria (SWN). The objectives are to ascertain the implementation status of automation projects, discuss the accruable benefits, investigate the library management system software being used, determine the modules already activated and fully implemented and their web presence, highlight the challenges encountered, draw conclusions and recommendations on enhancing successful implementation of library automation projects in Nigeria. The method used for gathering data for the study is questionnaire-based survey, using google form template. The findings of the study are that all the six federal university libraries in the SWN have adopted and implemented automation; two out of them are using open source integrated library automation software (Koha), one library uses in-house built integrated library system (ILS), while the remaining three use different proprietary software for their automation projects; and all the ILSs being used for automation projects are interoperable. The conclusion from the study is that the effective performance of libraries lies in the ability to access research materials and other relevant information contents with remarkable ease. [目的/意义] 针对当前高校图书馆学科馆员人力资源缺乏,难以在院系广泛开展“嵌入科研,深入课题”的学科服务困境,探索利用研究生（博士、硕士）兼职参与学科服务,协助或替代学科馆员到院系开展学科服务的新模式。[方法/过程] 以华南农业大学图书馆学科服务实践为例,介绍针对兼职学科馆员的队伍建设、管理模式,探讨其在院系进行学科服务的实践效果。[结果/结论] 结果表明,研究生兼职参与学科服务,可实现图书馆资源宣传和信息专题培训的大范围“入院（学院）、进室（实验室）、到组（课题组）”,针对院系科研人员的信息服务实现了研究生对导师（或课题组）个性化的贴身服务。基于兼职学科馆员的学科服务新模式改变了单靠图书馆力量开展学科服务的现状,缓解了图书馆有限的人力资源在院系广泛开展深度学科服务举步维艰的困境,为同类图书馆进一步开展广泛、深入的学科服务提供了一个高素质人力资源利用的新思路。 相似文献
