In this paper, we investigate a multi-objective optimal design of a tuned vibration absorber for a two degrees-of-freedom linear system, in which we take white Gaussian noise as the excitation. We use the simple cell mapping method to obtain solutions to the multi-objective optimization problem. We optimize tuned vibration absorbers in two different configurations. As our objective,we take various features of the response of the power spectrum density function. Our results show that the primary mass vibration with the optimally designed absorber has a lower peak power spectrum value. In addition, the two natural frequencies of the optimized system are further apart than in the non-optimized system, which implies that the absorber has a wider effective region in the frequency domain.  相似文献

A method of topology synthesis based on graph theory and mechanism combination theory was applied to the configuration design of locomotion systems of lunar exploration rovers (LER).Through topology combination of wheel structural unit,suspension unit,and connecting device unit between suspension and load platform,some new locomotion system configurations were proposed and the metrics and indexes to evaluate the performance of the new locomotion system were analyzed.Performance evaluation and comparison between two LER with locomotion systems of different configurations were analyzed.The analysis results indicate that the new locomotion system configuration has good trafficability performance.  相似文献

This paper presents a novel approach to find optimum locations and capacity of flexible alternating current transmission system (FACTS) devices in a power system using a multi-objective optimization function. Thyristor controlled series compensators (TCSCs) and static var compensators (SVCs) are the utilized FACTS devices. Our objectives are active power loss reduction, newly introduced FACTS devices cost reduction, voltage deviation reduction, and increase on the robustness of the security margin against voltage collapse. The operational and controlling constraints, as well as load constraints, were considered in the optimum allocation. A goal attainment method based on the genetic algorithm (GA) was used to approach the global optimum. The estimated annual load profile was utilized in a sequential quadratic programming (SQP) optimization sub-problem to the optimum siting and sizing of FACTS devices. Fars Regional Electric Network was selected as a practical system to validate the performance and effectiveness of the proposed method. The entire investment of the FACTS devices was paid offand an additional 2.4% savings was made. The cost reduction of peak point power generation implies that power plant expansion can be postponed.  相似文献

The design problem of delay-dependent robust control For uncertain discrete singular systems with time-varying delay is addressed in this paper. The uncertainty is assumed to be norm-bounded. By establishing a finite sum inequality based on quadratic terms, a new delay-dependent robust stability condition is derived and expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A suitable robust state feedback control law is presented, which guarantees that the resultant closed-loop system is regular, causal and stable for all admissible uncertainties. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper presents a new method based on an immune-tabu hybrid algorithm to solve the thermal unit commitment (TUC) problem in power plant optimization. The mathematical model of the TUC problem is established by analyzing the generating units in modem power plants. A novel immune-tabu hybrid algorithm is proposed to solve this complex problem. In the algorithm, the objective function of the TUC problem is considered as an antigen and the solutions are considered as antibodies, which are determined by the affinity computation. The code length of an antibody is shortened by encoding the continuous operating time, and the optimum searching speed is improved. Each feasible individual in the immune algorithm (IA) is used as the initial solution of the tabu search (TS) algorithm after certain generations of IA iteration. As examples, the proposed method has been applied to several thermal unit systems for a period of 24 h. The computation results demonstrate the good global optimum searching performance of the proposed immune-tabu hybrid algorithm. The presented algorithm can also be used to solve other optimization problems in fields such as the chemical industry and the power industry.  相似文献

The dynamics of hydraulic systems are highly nonlinear and the system may be subjected to non-smooth and discontinuous nonlinearities due to directional change of valve opening,friction,etc. Aside from the nonlinear nature of hydraulic dynamics,hydraulic servo systems also have large extent of model uncertainties. To address these challenging issues,a robust state-feedback controller is designed by employing backstepping design technique such that the system output tracks a given signal arbitrarily well,and all signals in the closed-loop system remain bounded. Moreover,a relevant disturbance attenuation inequality is satisfied by the closed-loop signals. Compared with previously proposed robust controllers,this paper's robust controller based on backstepping recursive design method is easier to design,and is more suitable for implementation.  相似文献

This paper presents a control strategy of a hybrid fuel cell/battery distributed generation (HDG) system in distribution systems. The overall structure of the HDG system is given, dynamic models for the solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) power plant, battery bank and its power electronic interfacing are briefly described, and controller design methodologies for the power conditioning units and fuel cell to control the power flow from the hybrid power plant to the utility grid are presented. To distribute the power between the fuel cell power plant and the battery energy storage, a neuro-fuzzy controller has been developed. Also, for controlling the active and reactive power independently in distribution systems, the current control strategy based on two fuzzy logic controllers has been presented. A Matlab/Simulink simulation model is developed for the HDG system by combining the individual component models and their controllers. Simulation results show the overall system performance including load-following and power management of the HDG system.  相似文献

This paper presents an efficient method for globally optimizing and automating component sizing for rotary traveling wave oscillator arrays. The lumped equivalent model of transmission lines loaded by inverter pairs is evaluated and posynomial functions for oscillation frequency, power dissipation, phase noise, etc. are formulated using transmission line theory. The re- sulting design problem can be posed as a geometric programJning problem, which can be efficiently solved with a convex opti- mization solver. The proposed method can compute the global optima more efficiently than the traditional iterative scheme and various design problems can be solved with the same circuit model. The globally optimal trade-off curves between competing objectives are also computed to carry out robust designs and quickly explore the design space.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of a column-type electric power steering (EPS) system and vehicle has been studied and a detailed mathematical model for the system has been established. Based on variable structure control (VSC) and fuzzy local controller network (FLCN), a new design method of robust gain-scheduling control is proposed in this paper. The proper sliding-modes and the tendency-rates for general operation-points are introduced such that the system gets into the sliding-modes’ motion as soon as possible and has the desired performance. Its good performance is due to the robustness of VSC. However, any local controller works well only in the local region of a specified operation-point. In this paper functions similar to the fuzzy-attributed function in fuzzy-systems are introduced to form FLCN. The simulation results showed that the presented method is feasible and acceptable. This paper deals with the design and performance analysis of the transmission precoder optimization for multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems with limited feedback of channel state information (CSI). We assume that the receiver can get perfect channel knowledge by channel estimation while the transmitter only has partial channel knowledge from limited feedback. We present a minimum mean square error (MMSE) criterion based codebook construction algorithm for MIMO pre- coded spatial multiplexing systems under a specific average power constraint. The optimal transmitter structure is employed in this paper. Simulation results show that the MMSE criteria based codebook construction algorithm with hybrid design of power allocation and precoding can achieve better performance than that of equal power allocation based codebook of previous research.  相似文献

For linear switched system with both parameter uncertainties and time delay,a delay-dependent sufficient condition for the existence of a new robust H∞ feedback controller was formulated in nonlinear matrix inequalities solvable by an LMI-based iterative algorithm.Compared with the conventional state-feedback controller,the proposed controller can achieve better robust control performance since the delayed state is utilized as additional feedback information and the parameters of the proposed controllers are changed synchronously with the dynamical characteristic of the system.This design method was also extended to the case where only delayed state is available for the controller.The example of balancing an inverted pendulum on a cart demonstrates the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed design methods.  相似文献

A space-time coded multiple-input multiple-output orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (MIMO-OFDM) system is considered as a solution to the future wideband wireless communication system.This paper proposes an extended Kalman filtering-based (EKF-based) channel estimation method for space-time coded MIMO-OFDM systems.The proposed method can exploit pilot symbols and an extended Kalman filter to estimate channel without any prior knowledge of channel statistics.In comparison with the least square (LS) and the least mean square (LMS) methods,the EKF-based approach has a better performance in theory.Computer simulations demonstrate the proposed method outperforms the LS and LMS methods.Therefore it can offer dramatic system performance improvement at a modest cost of computational complexity.  相似文献

A method is proposed to monitor and control Hopf bifurcations in multi-machine power systems using the information from wide area measurement systems (WAMSs). The power method (PM) is adopted to compute the pair of conjugate eigenvalues with the algebraically largest real part and the corresponding eigenvectors of the Jacobian matrix of a power system. The distance between the current equilibrium point and the Hopf bifurcation set can be monitored dynamically by computing the pair of conjugate eigenvalues. When the current equilibrium point is close to the Hopf bifurcation set, the approximate normal vector to the Hopf bifurcation set is computed and used as a direction to regulate control parameters to avoid a Hopf bifurcation in the power system described by differential algebraic equations (DAEs). The validity of the proposed method is demonstrated by regulating the reactive power loads in a 14-bus power system.  相似文献

The magamp (magnetic amplifier) is widely used in power supplies due to its low cost, simplicity and other advantages. This paper discusses a novel application of the magamp in switching power supplies, where the magamp is used to regulate pulse width modulation (PWM) instead of power signal in the main circuit. This method extends the application of the magamp in power supplies, and makes it possible to further regulate control signal when PWMs have been generated. Based on this applica- tion, a new current-sharing (CS) scheme using the magamp is proposed, which uses a modified inner loop CS structure. In this scheme PWMs are generated by one main controller, and CS is achieved by regulating PWMs using a magamp in each module. Compared with traditional application of the magamp, the new CS scheme can be used in most topologies and only requires magamps of low power capacity. Then a test circuit of parallel power supply is developed, in which CS is achieved by a PWM regulator with the magamp. The proposed scheme is also used to upgrade an electroplate power to make it capable of paralleling supplies. Experimental results show that the proposed scheme has good CS performance.  相似文献

Defense systems are needed to prevent catastrophic failures of a power grid due to cascaded events. Cascaded events can be attributed to improper operations of protective relays. The most challenging problem for the design and implementation of a defense system is the performance in accuracy and speed in a real time environment. Protective devices are normally designed to operate fast in order to isolate the fault(s). This paper proposes a new methodology to distinguish line overloads from actual faults for distance relays. In order to distinguish between line flow transfers from a line outage and an actual fault, the line outage distribution factor (LODF) and generation shift factor (GSF) based power flow estimation method, and a secure peer to peer (P2P) communication structure are adopted. Computer simulations of cascaded events for a 6-bus system and the Korean power grid have been performed to establish the feasibility of the proposed scheme.
