In recent years, Startups are new concepts in the tech world and are meant to be temporary organizations designed to find a repeatable, scalable business model, while offering a new solution to the problem. What matters most about the success of startups is the right and reasonable targeting. This is something that is usually overlooked by a large percentage of such businesses, causing them to fail within a short period of time. Production of new product or service delivery is not possible without planning. The purpose of this study is to look deeper into how startups should identify and prioritize issues and problems when launching a new product or service. First, startups and subject-related businesses reviewed and then novel and emerging issues, including the status of data mining on startups' performance, the topics of Business Intelligence (BI), innovation and networked learning, and also their role in startups business discussed. Results showed that BI can provide a competitive advantage to startups. With this in mind, these businesses may adapt to the diverse needs of customers in the market and continue to survive, as well as gain greater market share over their competitors. Further, employing technology tools helps companies make their data available seamlessly or securely and by analyzing it, giving managers a better way of making decisions. According to the hypotheses, it was found that BI as a powerful tool in the field of information technology, creates a competitive advantage and it is necessary for start-up managers to accept this tool.  相似文献

Business intelligence (BI) incorporates business research, data mining, data visualization, data tools,infrastructure, and best practices to help businesses make more data-driven choices.Business intelligence's challenging characteristics include data breaches, difficulty in analyzing different data sources, and poor data quality is consideredessential factors. In this paper, IoT-based Efficient Data Visualization Framework (IoT- EDVF) has been proposed to strengthen leaks' risk, analyze multiple data sources, and data quality management for business intelligence in corporate finance.Corporate analytics management is introduced to enhance the data analysis system's risk, and the complexity of different sources can allow accessing Business Intelligence. Financial risk analysis is implemented to improve data quality management initiative helps use main metrics of success, which are essential to the individual needs and objectives. The statistical outcomes of the simulation analysis show the increasedperformance with a lower delay response of 5ms and improved revenue analysis with the improvement of 29.42% over existing models proving the proposed framework's reliability.  相似文献

Business Intelligence (BI) seeks to increase the profitability of the organization by making intelligent and accurate decisions. Management accounting (MA) reports are the score-card of an operation manager's efficiency. The operational; tactical, and strategic decision types make the road to achieving the goals of a company. Further, Environmental factors may affect the supply chain or increase the costs of materials. This study aims to investigate the impact of the BI on the development of MA in industrial companies. Samples are 200 Managers of these companies. The researcher-made questionnaire was employed to collect the required data. Factor analysis by reliability and item content technique verified by 0.896 Cronbach's alpha. Results revealed that the impact of BI on the development of MA is meaningful. For the β-values, the highest and the lowest effect of variables on success of BI is for decision type and flexibility variables, respectively. However, For the t-values, it is for data quality and integration with other systems (IOS) variables, respectively. Managers in industrial companies, should pay attention to decision type and data quality more than flexibility and IOS.  相似文献

Companies are, therefore, understandably eager to exploit technology in new knowledge management systems. Business leaders should recognize, however, that new technology never grants its bounty freely: it exacts a cost when it amplifies our abilities. Evidence suggests that some factors can determine the successful implementation of strategic IT systems, i.e. Business Intelligence (BI). Although BI systems can provide companies with insights into their business operations they are painstakingly difficult to implement. Most frequently, employee resistance and change management related issues have been identified as the main causes of system implementation failure. This is particularly true for Chinese firms, where cultural nuances such as personalism and particularism serve as powerful barriers to ‘intelligence’ sharing. In this case study, we report how Chinese CEOs can overpower these restraining forces to facilitate implementation success. Preliminary evidence from our case firm suggests that a strong, committed and adaptive leadership style provides a basis for effective BI exploitation. Further, we also identify some strategic and tactical actions that Chinese CEOs can use to foster a knowledge sharing culture that is conducive to BI systems implementation.  相似文献

The growing business evolution and the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) make the different business practices to be enhanced by the ability to create new means of collaboration. Such growing technology helps to deliver brand services and even some new kinds of corporate interactions with customers and staff. AI digitization simultaneously emphasized businesses to focus on the existing strategies and regularly and early pursue new market opportunities. While digital technology research in the framework of business innovation is gaining greater interest and the privacy of data can be maintained by Blockchain technology. Therefore in this paper, Business Innovation based on artificial intelligence and Blockchain technology (BI-AIBT) has been proposed to enhance the business practices and maintain the secured interaction among the various clients. The collection of qualitative empirical data is made up of few primary respondents from two distinct business sectors. BI-AIBT has been evaluated by undertaking and exploring the difference and similarities between digitalization's impact on value development, proposal, and business capture. Besides, organizational capacities and staff skills interaction issues can be improved by BT. The experimental result suggests that digital transformation is usually regarded as essential and improves business innovation strategies. The numerical result proposed BI-AIBT improves the demand prediction ratio (97.1%), product quality ratio (98.3%), Business development ratio (98.9%), customer behavior analysis ratio (96.3%), and customer satisfaction ratio (97.2%).  相似文献

The key to business success for many companies is the correct use of data to make better, faster and flawless decisions. Companies need to use robust and efficient tools such as business intelligence (BI) as positive catalysts to achieve this goal, which can assist them in mechanizing the tasks of analysis, decision making, strategy formulation and forecasting. In other words, the purpose of using BI in these institutions is to collect, process, and analyze large volumes of data and convert them into effective business value in decision making through the creation of analytical intelligent reporting platforms. Therefore, this study aims to answer the question whether operationalization of BI, Organizational Learning (OL) and Innovation and utilization of their applications can provide financial performance enhancement for these companies. As mentioned above, the statistical population of this research is innovation companies Located in Science Park with 400 staff and according to Morgan table, 196 employees of these companies were picked as statistical case. Info accumulation tool is the questionnaire whose validity and reliability have been measured. Research findings demonstrate that BI and innovation have a critical influence on the companies conduct. But there was no meaningful relationship between OL and financial performance of these companies.  相似文献

The emerging generation of office automation systems combines new and existing software and procedures. While managers may be able to select from a broad array of software tools, they may also be required to use certain others. This article discusses organization design as the context for office automation; mature computer-based systems as one application of organization design variables; and emerging office automation systems as another application of those variables. The article concludes that Management Information System models developed for mature systems may be helpful where the use of software application is required for the individual worker; diffusion of innovation models recently developed for computing systems may be helpful where the type of software is optional for the individual worker.  相似文献

Company movements and market changes often are headlines of the news, providing managers with important business intelligence (BI). While existing corporate analyses are often based on numerical financial figures, relatively little work has been done to reveal from textual news articles factors that represent BI. In this research, we developed BizPro, an intelligent system for extracting and categorizing BI factors from news articles. BizPro consists of novel text mining procedures and BI factor modeling and categorization. Expert guidance and human knowledge (with high inter-rater reliability) were used to inform system development and profiling of BI factors. We conducted a case study of using the system to profile BI factors of four major IT companies based on 6859 sentences extracted from 231 news articles published in major news sources. The results show that the chosen techniques used in BizPro – Naïve Bayes (NB) and Logistic Regression (LR) – significantly outperformed a benchmark technique. NB was found to outperform LR in terms of precision, recall, F-measure, and area under ROC curve. This research contributes to developing a new system for profiling company BI factors from news articles, to providing new empirical findings to enhance understanding in BI factor extraction and categorization, and to addressing an important yet under-explored concern of BI analysis.  相似文献

Cloud computing providers and their software-as-a-service offerings have become more profuse and mature, making cloud technology an increasingly important platform for business services innovation. Although the cloud offers rich opportunities for transforming businesses—innovating existing services and introducing creative new ones—it also involves risks that business managers must identify and resolve to successfully drive innovation efforts. However, no comprehensive models are available to help managers assess and mitigate the risks they face. To address this void, we reviewed extant literature on cloud computing from a business innovation perspective to uncover the myriad challenges managers confront as they seek to leverage cloud technology in the ongoing transformation of their organization’s service offerings. Combining this systematic literature analysis with relevant theory, we synthesized an integrated model for managing risk during innovation of cloud-based business services. The model identifies three types of risks (services, technology, and process risks) and four types of resolutions (stakeholder engagement, technology development, innovation planning, and innovation control). The model also helps managers identify their organization’s general risk profile and link that profile to a specific configuration of resolutions.  相似文献

Despite growing investments in Business Intelligence and Analytics (BI&A), the business value generation process associated with the adoption of these technologies is still unclear. Consequently, managers face difficulties in justifying such initiatives and subsequently evaluating their results. For companies that operate in extremely turbulent environments, the outcomes of BI&A investments may be even harder to estimate. In this study, we propose and statistically evaluate a causal model that connects the availability of BI&A resources and capabilities in a company to its operational marketing capabilities. Marketing processes are critical for the generation of innovations in products and services, and operational revenues, and thereby, for a firm's performance and competitiveness. In order to assess our model, we applied structural equation modeling techniques to data collected in multiple units of a large Brazilian telecommunications company during the worst economic and institutional crisis faced by the country. Our results suggest that the dynamic capabilities of a company fully mediates the positive effect of BI&A resources and capabilities on its marketing capabilities. In contrast to what is usually found in the literature, turbulence did not moderate the effect of dynamic capabilities on marketing capabilities.  相似文献

The business intelligence (BI) has been often touted as a game-changer especially during the pandemic crisis. Although most managers are familiar with BI and agree that, it should be operationalized across their organizations. The BI is not well assimilated throughout adopting organizations. Rooted in institutional and upper echelon theories, this study proposes a theoretical model aimed toward explaining BI assimilation. We surveyed 174 respondents occupying leadership positions from174 auto-components manufacturing firms in India to gather data. The findings suggest that normative and mimetic (but not coercive) factors significantly influence top leader’s commitment to the BI initiatives. We found that the commitment of the top leaders influences the assimilation of BI via acceptance and routinization. Our study is an attempt to address the previous research calls related to BI assimilation. The findings of the study inform the information management scholars via theory-based research on phenomena related to post-adoption BI diffusion during a pandemic crisis. Practitioners can utilize the results of our study to design their policies that help assimilate BI such that forecasted benefits can be fully realized during an uncertain time.  相似文献

Drawing upon theories governing micro-institutions and strategic actions on resources, this study proposes a model suitable for assessing the antecedents and consequences of “Internet-Based Channel Orientation” (IBCO) on the operations of domestic companies of moderate or lesser size. Investigation focused primarily on the entrepreneurial capability (ENCAP) of such firms and industrial competition (INDCOM) as predictors of the IBCO of a business. Analysis was conducted as to whether IBCO contributed to heightened market sensing capability (MKTSENSE) and indirectly reinforced competitiveness. To this end, data was sourced from 198 firms based in Nigeria, typically micro-, small- and medium-sized businesses. Statistical analysis indicated that IBCO had a stronger and direct effect on encouraging the fluency of operations at small- and medium-sized enterprises. However, IBCO in combination with a competitive advantage was insufficient to attain competitiveness, the magnitude of such an effect being indirectly anchored to the MKTSENSE of the firm. This study highlights that businesses need to invest in Internet marketing tools and employ them effectively to stay competitive over the long term.  相似文献

The challenges of managing large complex engineering projects, such as those involving the design of infrastructure, aerospace and industrial systems; are widely acknowledged. While there exists a mature set of project management tools and methods, many of today's projects overrun in terms of both time and cost. Existing literature attributes these overruns to factors such as: unforeseen dependencies, a lack of understanding, late changes, poor communication, limited resource availability (inc. personnel), incomplete data and aspects of culture and planning. Fundamental to overcoming these factors belies the challenge of how management information relating to them can be provided, and done so in a cost eff ;ective manner. Motivated by this challenge, recent research has demonstrated how management information can be automatically generated from the evolving digital footprint of an engineering project, which encompasses a broad range of data types and sources. In contrast to existing work that reports the generation, verification and application of methods for generating management information, this paper reviews all the reported methods to appraise the scope of management information that can be automatically generated from the digital footprint. In so doing, the paper presents a reference model for the generation of managerial information from the digital footprint, an appraisal of 27 methods, and a critical reflection of the scope and generalisability of data-driven project management methods. Key findings from the appraisal include the role of email in providing insights into potential issues, the role of computer models in automatically eliciting process and product dependencies, and the role of project documentation in assessing project norms. The critical reflection also raises issues such as privacy, highlights the enabling technologies, and presents opportunities for new Business Intelligence tools that are based on real-time monitoring and analysis of digital footprints.  相似文献

With the development of the BI (Business intelligence) applications, robots and robot-based technology appear in various fields. Compact robotic automated parking system will facilitate the informatization and modernization of urban development and environmental protection. Compact robotic automated parking (CRAP) system is a new system with higher storage utilization and rapid response to store and handle cars. This system has double storage rings, instead of one storage ring in old compact automated parking (CAP) system for storing cars in each tier, and each tier is equipped with inner rotating ring and tier-captive automated guided vehicle for horizontal transport. The CRAP system has one elevator with vertical automated guided vehicle in the outer ring instead of the center part in the old CAP system for vertical transport. We first estimate the system performance using queuing network models. Second, we validate the analytical models through simulation and a real case. The simulation results show that we make an accurate estimation. Third, we optimize system configurations by minimizing the car retrieval time. Finally, given the same storage capacity, we compare the car retrieval time based on a real application and footprint area of CRAP system with CAP system. The results show that the car retrieval time can be reduced by at least 29.7% when the system capacity C is 400, and the space utilization can be improved by at least 32.0%.  相似文献
