本研究采用调查问卷的方法,对200名中职新生的职业自我概念进行了调查。结果发现,中职新生职业自我概念总体评价一般;城市学生的职业自我概念发展水平上显著高于农村学生;干部学生的职业自我概念发展水平显著高于非干部学生。可以通过加强职业生涯规划教育和正确认识自己帮助中职生完善职业自我概念,促进其职业生涯发展。  相似文献

生涯发展实质是自我概念的实践历程,自我概念的特征表现在内容和结构两方面,可能自我包含希望自我、预期自我和恐惧自我,表现在个人发展、创造力、自主性、能力运用等方面。可能自我有其习得与发展的规律,大学生处于生涯探索期阶段,其任务主要是根据相关线索构建职业可能自我,并通过各种途径与方法使之具体化、特定化。大学生职业生涯规划教育应从职业自我概念相关理论重新审视教学的目的与内容、教学的基本框架以及师生关系的定位,并以平衡自我为出发点,围绕自我概念的特征与发展规律以及阶段发展任务开发有针对性的活动课程。  相似文献

In Taiwan, the occupational achievement of indigenous people has been well below that of their non-indigenous counterparts. Studies have confirmed that the occupational aspirations of adolescents significantly influence their adult career choices and achievements. Therefore, this study tested the proposed theoretical model of occupational aspirations among Taiwanese Aboriginal adolescents by utilizing the developmental-contextual model of career development as its framework. This study simultaneously examined the relationships among the distal contextual variable (social welfare resources), proximal contextual variables (parental occupational aspirations for the child, school support, and neighborhood cohesion), individual-level variable (self-concept), and occupational aspirations in the proposed model. The data were collected from a questionnaire survey of 564 Taiwanese Aboriginal senior high school students and were analyzed using structural equation modeling. The results supported the proposed research model, which explained 62.6?% of the variance in occupational aspirations. The study found that social welfare resources influenced parental occupational aspirations for the child, school support, and neighborhood cohesion, which, in turn, directly and indirectly influenced occupational aspirations vis-à-vis their effects on self-concept. In turn, self-concept influenced occupational aspirations. Overall, the results confirmed that the proposed model based on the developmental-contextual model of career development was effective in explaining the development of occupational aspirations among Taiwanese Aboriginal adolescents.  相似文献

在对286名大学生进行问卷调查的基础上,采用独立样本t检验、相关分析和结构方程模型等方法,探讨大学生就业焦虑的基本状况及其与父母教养方式、自我概念间的关系.结果表明:大学生就业焦虑在性别和是否独生子女上没有显著差异;父母教养方式对大学生就业焦虑不存在直接影响,而是以自我概念为中介产生间接影响.父母教养方式和自我概念对就业前景担忧和自信心不足2个因子的影响高于对缺乏就业支持和就业竞争压力2个因子的影响.  相似文献

Relationships between career maturity and self-concept, parenting style and individualism–collectivism across Australian and Thai cultural contexts were investigated. Berry’s (1969) etic-emic model for adapting instruments for cross-cultural research was applied. Derived etic status was achieved for the career planning scale, five self-concept sub-scales and the Parental Bonding Instrument. Mean score comparisons revealed few significant differences between Australia and Thailand. None of the independent variables were associated with Thai career planning. Academic and social self-concept scales and father care were related to career planning in Australia. Implications are discussed.  相似文献

Despite much effort on the part of educators the number of females who choose science careers remains low. This research focuses on two factors which may be influencing females in their choice of careers. These factors are role-specific self-concept in science and self perception in terms of stereotypical masculine and feminine characteristics. In addition logical ability and mathematics and science courses were also examined as factors in career choice. Females preferring science related careers and females preferring nontraditional careers such as police, military and trades were found to have a positive role-specific self-concept and a masculine perception of themselves. Females preferring traditional careers such as teacher or hairdresser had a poor role-specific self-concept and a more feminine perception of themselves. Males as a group were found to have a more positive role-specific self-concept than females. Logical ability was also related to a science career preference for both males and females. Males expected to take more higher level math courses than females, while females preferring science careers expected to take the most higher level science courses.  相似文献

Little is known about the determinants of teachers' psychological wellbeing, job satisfaction, occupational self-concept and quitting intentions. In this paper, teachers' occupational attributes (i.e. professional and personal characteristics) were investigated as determinants. Henceforth, the Educator Motivation and Attribute Profile (EdMAP) scales were used to describe the nature of 1109 Hong Kong primary and secondary school teachers' occupational attributes. Furthermore, the relationships with the teacher outcomes were investigated. Construct validity and reliabilities of the EdMAP scales were satisfactory. The results showed positive associations between teachers’ occupational attributes and their wellbeing, job satisfaction, and self-concept, and negative associations with quitting intentions.  相似文献

In the present study, we examined in Chinese society the association of school-based extracurricular activities (SBEAs) in both high school and college with students’ career development skills in college, as well as with various personality characteristics and self-concept. Each of 281 college students administered the Lai Personality Inventory, the Tennessee Self Concept Scale, the Adult Career Cognition Scale and an SBEA questionnaire. The results indicate that students who were more engaged in SBEAs had a healthier self-concept, were more extraverted, had better psychological health, were more emotionally stable, and had better social adaption and career development skills than other students. The implications and limitations of the findings, as well as future directions for research, are discussed.  相似文献

After decades of developing the various segments of his theory(i.e., developmental stages and tasks, life span, self-concept) toexplain career development, Super focused on using these theory segmentsto help individuals resolve their career concerns. This uniqueassessment-based intervention model is the result of a multinationalresearch effort directed toward understanding the individual'ssubjective and objective career development experience. Gaps in GCSE attainment have long been the concern of policy makers, academics, and social commentators, largely due to the importance of these exams for setting children on their future academic and career pathways. In the past a wide range of factors relating to the pupils, their families, and their schools have been found to account for differences in GCSE attainment. In this paper we examine the role of pupils’ beliefs in their own academic ability (academic self-concept). Using Next Steps data, we examine whether pupils with higher academic self-concept do better or worse in their GCSEs than pupils with lower academic self-concept. Results show that on average, controlling for other characteristics, having high academic self-concept increases GCSE scores by four grades. When we compare academic self-concept to measured achievement we find that both high and low attainers have higher probabilities of achieving five A*–C GCSEs and higher GCSE point scores on average if they have high academic self-concept than similarly able students who have lower academic self-concept.  相似文献
